The Final Word On Obama's Birth Certificate

Please do explain. They look pretty similar to my non-birther eyes.

One (the sample that we know is real) is yellowed by the age of centuries, while the other looks recent, like it was made as recently as the 1960s. Clear forgery.

yeah, that's it!

So we are judging Obama on the color of his birth certificate?

That's racist.

A new Gallup/USA Today poll finds significant doubt about whether Donald Trump, the real estate mogul and television personality who is considering a bid for presidency, was born in the United States.

According to the survey, just 43 percent of Americans believe that Mr. Trump was definitely born in the United States. Another 20 percent believe that he was probably born here. Some 7 percent of respondents told Gallup that Mr. Trump was probably or definitely born in another country, while 30 percent were uncertain.

Gotta love that. Papag, you are on the case, right?

How else can they keep people from wondering what happened to the ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF GOLD under WTC7?

Duh...Jeremy Irons stole it while Bruce Willis was running around with Sam Jackson, and it's at the bottom of the Hudson right now.

The real story is the reason for the timing of the release of the birth certificate. The White House does control when it releases information. Bad news is released on Fridays to blunt the 24/7 news cycle. This kind of thing is a distraction for something else going on.

Leon Panetta is moving from CIA to head of the defense dept., while Patraeus is going to head the CIA. Obama neatly tricked MSNBC, CNN, and similar outlets into talking about the birth certificate. Otherwise they would have been talking about how General Betray Us would be getting a promotion.

Or maybe it was because Trump was in New Hampshire testing the waters to make a run at the GOP nomination. No sound bites from Trump about how China is unfairly manipulating their currency (which he did talk about), instead it was questions about the birth certificate.

Or maybe he's doing what he does best, which is run for office.

Or maybe he's pissed he wasn't invited to the Royal Wedding, which might have otherwise dominated the news cycle.

And it was Hillary's surrogates who first raised the birth certificate issue in the 2008 campaign. Who said Democrats don't eat their own?

For the sake of argument, let's say the Birth Certificate is fictional. It wouldn't be hard for Obama and his folks to arrange for a false Birth Certificate with the type of connections he has.

We do know he has lived in the US all but a handful of days at the very least. To me, the qualifies him to be the President. I firmly believe in both the letter and the spirit of the law and that some pragmatism is applied to determine how much 'spirit' is allowed in. To my line of thinking, if he has lived here all but his first handful of days as an infant, then he's a US citizen from birth under the thinking of 'close enough for government work' theory. Now, if he moved here at age 12, that's another thing. But a matter of days??

I think all this is much to do about nothing.

It's obvious you've completely missed the point. The question is not if he is American but if he is even human.

If you were part of an alien invasion force and wanted to take over Earth's most powerful country from within where would you drop off your pod spawn?

Answer: In that countries furthest and quietest states, Alaska and Hawaii.

Palin and Obama are the anti-humans!

You're right. Screw the Constitution. Who needs it? Let's throw out all our principles and make up the rules as we go along.

By the way, Obama lived in Jakarta, Indonesia, for 4 to 5 years. Is that what you meant by "all but a handful of days"?

Actually, I really love that the Obama Administration is being forced to waste their time on this issue. It means they're focusing less on trying to implement their shit policies.

I doubt they're putting much of their time into this. He basically gave one press conference about it. He'll have plenty of time to implement his shit policies! :)

The guy they have photoshopping up fake birth certificates is probably just a graphic arts intern. I doubt his cabinet is busy working on their Photoshop skills.

That's worked for Republicans for decades, I don't see why you'd be against it :) *poking the bear*

Yeah, right. Who cares if our president is actually eligible to hold the office according to our constitution?

Wait, so now you care about the President doing things based on the constitution?

As opposed to ... when?

Oh, wait. Didn't some Bush-bashers used to claim that the Constitution was destroyed, or something? Funny how that never really seemed to match up with reality.

Mockery is something that hard to show on the interwebs.

I was making fun of his point.

Seems like some enterprising person would start a church based on birtherism. It's got all the elements of a religion already.

Or would it be better to wrap all of the conspiracy theories of the day together? Church of the Truther Birthers, anyone?

I won't join until I see Jesus' birth certificate.

Jesus has whole books written about where he was born and to whom.

Yeah, but a lot of people suspect those super-long form birth certificates were essentially invented/forged by his minions.
