New show on Fox. If you missed the pilot on Monday, do not miss the encore on Friday.

Intense.

And...

14 shows in 14 weeks. No breaks for 3 1/2 months.

Yeah, not bad.

I dunno why I find it so odd his wife left as star of The Closer and then he joined new show The Following. And there roles in the respective shows are fairly similar.

He's seeing those fat syndication checks she's cashing and wants to get some for himself.

It's by design. They always take turns working. Probably why they are still married.

Good show.

Not Homeland or Dexter good, but good for network tv for sure

I know - I previously read this. And it is why they are still married, or at least they've given it credit in interviews.

Just find it ironic, though. It's like, be a little more creative. You're basically just doing what your wife just did.

I think this is quite different from The Closer. In this show, the bad guy is really bad and the show's about him as much as anything else. Reminds me more of the movie Se7en.

And for a network show, it's hardcore.

I can see why the female FBI agent was recast (or dropped altogether). I know her part was to be the hard ass, but she just wasn't likable at all (to me at least).

I didn't say it was spot-on. I still find enough similarities to just kinda get a chuckle out of it, though.

Who was recast?

I forget her name. The main female FBI agent who would get mad when the ex wife would only speak with Kevin Bacon. She was in Alcatraz last year. I'm not sure if they actually replaced her, but she isn't listed on IMDB or wikipedia for the show.

The 14 shows in 14 weeks is worth noting (as I did note it!).

One of my biggest gripes with commercial TV is that they skip weeks, move show days and times around, etc. I remember when Stargate SG-1 was on SciFi every Friday night like clockwork and the show was hugely popular.

Ah, Hot Molly from Emily Owens MD. Ya, I hated her in the Following

Bump.

Third episode aired last night. Its quickly becoming one of my favorite shows.

Gonna wait til the whole season is done and watch it. I don't trust networks....... they will cancel a show in a heartbeat and crush me like they have in the past.

...speaking of which, did any of you have this happen a few years ago with the show called "Smith"? It starred Ray Liota, Amy Smart, Virginia Madsen, Simon Baker, et al. I thought this show was really good for what it was and got into following it, then BAM -- plug pulled -- show cancelled after only a few episodes!

Yea, I couldn't figure out why that show died, was one of my favorite new ones at the time.

So we will just never see the end? Will they ever release the rest?

I hate when shows are moved to different days of the week (sometimes without notice) and then cancelled because they had a "poor rating". Well, duh..you moved it around and never let it known what day it was on, IF it was on!

There was a show on Fox (I think?) about a guy who woke up with all sorts of knowledge, but no idea who he was. John Doe (maybe?).

Neat show, could've gone places, but they never had it consistently on tv, or on one day in particular. Cancelled after one season.

damn, I just googled the show I was talking about. It was on TV 10 years ago. Holy shit i'm getting old

I've been bit in the ass a few times on networks cancelling shows early too. If this show gets cancelled I will boycott Fox it's that good.

Love this show. I haven't watched a Fox show since 24's run ended. It pulled a 2.9 last night, but that's because CBS was back to original programming. Hopefully ratings stay solid enough for them to finish the season and renew because I really like the show.

They promise 14 shows in 14 weeks. I assume they won't be moving it to different days and times.

Denny's really excited about them putting a new show on every week.

...well, I just watched episode one and the hook is starting to set in -- let's see if episodes 2 & 3 can keep it going!

That show is for you followers. I'll stick to leading.
