I was suppose to go 5....... midway through the 4th they told em to wrap it up.

I hadn't heard about that before, but I googled it and saw that it was renewed for a 5th season initially but then cancelled.

“The show has just played out,” Reilly said when quizzed on the decision to can the one-time Golden Globe-nominated hit. “You get to a point creatively where you feel all the stories have been told, and you want to end strong and not gimp out in the end of the season.”

I thought it finished pretty nicely.

I hate when shows are moved to different days of the week (sometimes without notice) and then cancelled because they had a "poor rating". Well, duh..you moved it around and never let it known what day it was on, IF it was on!

There was a show on Fox (I think?) about a guy who woke up with all sorts of knowledge, but no idea who he was. John Doe (maybe?).

Neat show, could've gone places, but they never had it consistently on tv, or on one day in particular. Cancelled after one season.

I just watched that show on Hulu. I thought it was pretty good too. Crazy ending.

Denny's really excited about them putting a new show on every week.

I'm hoping it starts a trend. Most of the programming I like to watch has changed days or times, and is not reliably on every week.

House, another Fox show, was notoriously like that.

I thought that junior FBI agent was going to be part of the cult, until he got the shit kicked out of him and nearly died. That pretty much killed that theory.

I really hope they don't fuck up season 2. I don't want it to drag on just because people are watching. Some shows were meant to be only one season.

Haha. With about 15 minutes left in the show my wife said, "what happened with his crazy neighbor". I actually was hoping that they'd leave this as a 1 season, stand alone series. But, I think it was picked up for a 2nd, so the question is, what happens next year. My guess is Emma leads the cult in some way. I guess they could somehow say Carroll survived, escaped and then the results of his dental/dna test were faked by a cult member. We didn't see the body, so that is possible.
