How do you feel about this Boise Blazer?

Oh shit. Fort Wayne is only 2hrs from me. Definitely in the middle of nowhere.

Time to get the 5th string center some DLeague PT.... but I know they won't do it.

I was pissed when I found out actually. In fact I bought 5 game package last year just for that reason and they wanted me to renew and I told them no way. Seeing that pre-season game here last was so cool. And I dont want to see the Jazz. It was a bummer to say the least

Sorry Pal. There's always moving back to Portland!

I nominate the "Mad Ants" for the Rippy award of Best D-League Team Name!

Is the Mad Ant supposed to be "ticked" mad or "insane" mad? IMO, the mascot looks more crazy than angry.

I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark underground tunnel.

Mad Ants are also affiliate for 12 other NBA teams.

I guess the exclusive thing didn't work for us so we are trying the opposite?

It's a little Olshey error that we're not supposed to talk about.

I liked it when we had our own D-league affiliate but unfortunately I don't think we used it as much as we should have.

I figured out why the team dropped its 1-to-1 affiliation with the Idaho Stampede. Olshey jumped at this change: With 13 NBA teams (half of the league) feeding players only into Fort Wayne, the Mad Ants will receive many NBA players this season, improving the team. Any Blazer sent there will probably play with another young NBA player, improving both.

What of the teams without 1-1 affiliates? Last season there were three D-League teams that were shared by multiple NBA teams [considered dual, or multiple affiliations]; the Iowa Energy, Bakersfield Jam and Fort Wayne Mad Ants. This season, however, the 13 teams without a single affiliate are currently designated to share a single D-League franchise in Fort Wayne. The Portland Trail Blazers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets and Denver Nuggets will all, accordingly, assign members of their 15-man roster to play with the Mad Ants as they see fit.
