The Future of the New York Knicks

With Steve Francis out for the entire game and Marbury out for the last 3 quarters, Nate Robinson scored 34 points, and had 2 steals 2 Threes, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds.People say Robinson will never be more than a reserve, but he showed tonight that he can lead his team. Without the two biggest stars the Knicks came within the final 2 minutes of beating the 76ers. I can't wait until Stevie Franchise and Starbury are traded out. Hopefully, though it may be a Pipe Dream, we'll get the long rumored trade that will ship these two out and bring in The Big Ticket Kevin Garnett. This trade would, of course, involve multiple teams, but the rumor has been floating for a few months now (since we acquired Steve Francis) that a multi-team trade would be done to acquiesce Garnett's request to leave.

People always seem to doubt Nate Robinson because of his size and all, but he seems to keep proving time and time again that he is capable of being the man in New York, despite his small size.If the Knicks did manage to trade Francis and Marbury to 2 teams while bringing in Garnett, they could be contending with Garnett, Frye, and Robinson as the core to their team IMO.

Knicks screwed up in the offseason by giving the Bulls their 1st round pick for Curry I think. Now their screwed because they probably cant get anybody good unless they go after someone in FA.

and that garnett isnt going to happenhe wants to be traded to a contender, and the Knicks are the anti-contenderplus - trading Marbury and Francis would be the intelligent option, which means that Isaiah wont do it...sorry for the double post but:and NAte robinson can start in this league but will not ever be able to be an elite PG...anytime he faces a Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, bigger PGs, they are going to back him down...Kidd is the best PG from the post, he backs down smaller guys and help must come. Nate Robinson can be a good palyer, but i think he makes more of an impact coming off the bench, a la Earl Boykins

It's not like they are Magic Johnson...

KG won't be traded bro. Sorry to smash your hopes. If the Knicks traded with the 'Wolves. It'd be sending Starbury over here, and not KG over there. I read that in the paper awhile ago. (They didn't say it will happen, they just said that both players wouldn't mind reuniting, and in Minny).
