So did Cleveland, as I pointed out. You forget to put on your reading glasses today?

repeated that 3 times for you as seems to be required today.

Everyone knows Cleveland is a city, stop trying to trick us.

Oh, I don't know. Getting busted for vandalism is what we expect from our president, no?

some folks may just vote for cleavage and some have a thing for combovers....I'll stick with the bicycle stoner

I thought the forum needed a thread about him..I'm voting for him as a sort of safety valve vote and to add fuel to jumpstart the end of the two party system we've watched like a bad divorce case most of our adult lives. Johnson is pretty balanced, moderate and was a highly successful governor. Anything anyone can add to the thread about his positions or else, please do. Attached is a link I found about him.

Yeah but of he's trying to privatize everything I can't give him my vote.
Consider the competition and also that he'll never get that past Congress anyway...the pros outweigh the cons in my notes

I see him as a guy who doesn't have a side of the aisle in Washington to lobby for...to me, that's a huge change

He and I are parting ways on a few things:

Should illegal immigrants have access to government-subsidized healthcare?

Gary Johnson’s answer: No, and the government should never subsidize healthcare

1st stupid question. Undocumented people don't have access. 2nd ol' Gary's been getting subsidized healthcare for years...

Should employers be required to pay men and women the same salary for the same job?

Gary Johnson’s answer: No, there are too many other variables such as education, experience, and tenure that determine a fair salary.

Ouch... I can't....

Should the government raise the federal minimum wage?

Gary Johnson’s answer: No, and eliminate all federal wage standards.

So.... let's start a race to the bottom...

Should the government regulate the prices of life-saving drugs?

Gary Johnson’s answer: No, and the government should never regulate prices of private businesses

YAY!! $1000 Epi pens for everyone!

That's just a few I felt like pasting but damn I can't vote for the guy...

The only reason they can charge $1,000 for epi pens is because Obama pays $1,000 for them. The trick is coming to that realization.

GTFO. REALLY....

Sure.

If I were able to bill whatever I want, I would. If the government pays, I win. If they pay me half of the really big amount, I still win.

People aren't fools.

The patients don't care because it's not their money.

Sooooooo GTFO.

Drops mic.

People have been having a hard time understanding why anyone would "waste" their vote voting for Gary Johnson. My wife and friends think I'm crazy and "throwing" my vote away. It's hard to articulate in words they can understand, so I just tell them I'm tired of business as usual and it's time for a change. The response in general has been that it won't make any difference whatsoever. But change has to begin sometime and somewhere. I recently picked up the new book, " Bobby Kennedy, The Making of a Liberal Icon". I'm not trying to sell a guy who has been gone almost 50 years, but I found a quote that not only resonates with me, but perfectly (if a little wordy) explains why I'm voting for a third party candidate......."Each time a man stands up for an ideal, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." It's time for real change. It's time to give America back to all citizens. But if every voter buys into the absolute bullshit that a vote for Johnson is a vote for Clinton or Trump (depending on what shill you listen to), then change will never happen and politics as usual will continue, as will the great divide in America. As I have already stated for the record, for the first time in a presidential election I feel my vote will actually matter, if for no other reason that it will send a message to those who are bending us over a post every time we turn around that the dynamics are changing and their time at the trough is growing short. Better to vote for Johnson than sit out an election because the two "main" candidates suck. America can't change for the better if we won't let it......drops mic......

So why is Johnson better than Jill Stein or Evan McMullen, in your opinion?

For one thing...Stein isn't really invested in her candidacy...she offered it to Bernie Sanders and he didn't give her a response. For another....her followers will be too stoned to know what day it is when time to vote rolls around......or it'll conflict with a Phish concert in the Redwoods.

Careful there, Johnson isn't exactly free of stoned supporters...
