and it all starts here...

It says a lot about how the election is looking that the unofficial cheerleaders of the Democratic Party seek to find candidates to make fun of rather than promoting their own. I saw this guy on MSNBC last night.

But yeah, the guy is a moron.

Perfect timing. Out with the old culture of corruption, in with the new.

What's "new" about Charlie Rangel? He's been in Congress for almost 40 years.

Nancy promised us no new culture of corruption. Anyhow, we'll hopefully be out with this current culture of corruption, but surely a new one is on the way.

Just to play devil's advocate

Anyways did you hear his response to a question about "are you worried your job might be on the line?" Pretty fucking ego-maniacal.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

And I have very little power. Give me a gun so I can make you pay me a tax, then we're talking!

You take taxes out of my paycheck, don't you?

That might make me the tax collector, but I don't have any particular power over you, do I? Certainly nothing close to "absolute" power.

Of course you have power over me. All you have to do is make some crazy-ass post, and I have to spend the next several hours debating you.

That would be you infatuated with me!

I finally watched the video in the OP just now. I have a question: what is it that he wants to do with vacant lots? Plant grass or vegetation on them and sell it? Is he talking about pot?

Wow you just explained the entire GOP playbook in one sentence, not that it was very difficult. I mean lord knows both Jmac and Palin were not making fun of Obama for being a community organizer or that hopey changey stuff.

So, is your point that the Democrats are so bereft of ideas that they have to pull ideas from the playbook of a failed and pathetic campaign? Okay, then.

Maybe she'll be found not so guilty, but a trial going on near the November elections will be sweet.

AP sources: 3 charges filed against Rep. Waters

Persons familiar with the case said Waters is accused of violating: a rule that House members may not exert improper influence that results in a personal benefit; also, the government employees ethics code, which prohibits granting or accepting special favors for the employee or family members that could be viewed as influencing official actions; and a rule that member conduct must reflect creditably on the House.
