I used to post on the espn boards with quite a few people here. Pretty sure maris and jlprk were there. It got kind of shitty and a there was the bbb.net transfer. I don't know what happened there, I just remember visiting the site for a couple of weeks with no new posts and found this place. Long, strange trip.
 
You realize our join date is below our avatar, right? I came here from the old official trail blazers site on recommendation from Blazer Fanatic...then she was promptly banned a few weeks in for long, heated arguments here. The old site was nothing but long heated arguments mostly about Batum.

I think they would do pretty good, big weakness would be at PG with the current crop. Who is your all-mexican team?

ABM posted about this place on oregonlive. I came over here and quickly noticed that most of you were pretty cool. I continued to post over on Oregonlive and posted here.

Then Ed O had a mod election. No one really knew me here but I think it was Wheels who nominated me to be a mod as a joke. I posted on Oregonlive that if they came over here and voted for me to be a mod I would stop posting over there. They were eager to get rid of me so they came over here, made accounts, and voted me to be mod. So you have oregonlive to blame for my reign of terror.

I started with BLT in the 90's (1996?), then ESPN, then BBF, then here. No olive for me.

Twinsies! I joined this group at the same approximate time, during the Spring/Summer of 2005. We had the 3rd pick, which at that time was the highest draft position the Blazers occupied since I had become a Blazer fan. I was so hyped and wanted to read rumors or insight about who we were gonna take in the draft, so I googled "blazers forum" or something like that and found BBF. I also found the Oregonlive forum, but good god, that format was a mess and that place was filled with quite a few trolls.

BBF was an okay place, but I was a lurker back then. I literally didn't post at all for the first year; I was content just to read everyone's posts. Eventually, I did post a little, but by that time, changes were coming.

During the great migration, I discovered that most everyone left BBF to come here to this forum, but I was too lazy to register and join here at first. But later, as the forum at BBF was becoming barren and there weren't many postings or posters anymore, it was clear the board was dying. So I finally came here and joined in October 2008.

I didn't start making game threads until March 2011. I guess I was bored and thought it would be cool to have some graphics to whet our appetite about the upcoming game. I shouldn't have even started game threads, as I don't have education/experience in graphics or website. So I'm just an amateur, trying his best at something I have no skills in, waiting for someone with a proper background in game thread-making to take over.
 
I barely ever posted anything over there. I missed the moment when the exodus happened, but about a month later I googled some of the board names that I remembered and found S2.
 
I used to post on ESPN but I also posted on TBLive where I recognized Slypokerdog and PDXKass. What was the story with PDXKass, I don't think I've heard that one...

Is Kass the poster who posed as an attractive female to get more website hits? Then someone found out the pics weren't her, oh and ABM made like 14 threads a day directed at her with "yoooohoooo" in the title.
 
Great post HCP, and yes, that's where I came over from too, right around the same time. As that site died out, it became a very sad place, and I had no idea where everyone went. Finally someone invited me over here, I forget who, damnit. But thanks whoever it was.

And agreed, thanks Denny for the great community you created here.

He was kind of weirdly obsessed with her for a while, wasn't he? I think it was coming from a good place, but came off really pervo.
 
Is ABm Albert from the old team site game threads? He was tight with Kass back then..they both disappeared about the same time
 
Came over in the mass migration. Was at the other place when it was BBB.net. I remember finding it on a google search and was amazed that it existed. Talkhard and yega1979. I was there when NateBishop snitched on Oden. Had a sim league over there where ak47 was a god and won MVP like 3 years in a row.

We are getting fucking old yo.
