Not creepy at all bro. Thanks for asking. Ya been a tough 6 weeks. After a month he got his leg checked out and they put a new cast on him. Just had the 2nd cast taken off yesterday and is now in a walking boot, but can't put any weight or pressure on it for at least 2 more weeks. Then it's off to rehab. He is going to crush rehab, it's his head we are still concerned about. Has a real tight group of friends and a lot of support. Grades are better than normal, so who knows. It was tough, we had to take his PSU and Lewis and Clark visits with a cast and a scooter. Good kid, hoping everything turns out. Thanks again for checking.

That first x-ray pic literally made me nauseous, just to think about enduring that.

Thanks for the update!
Glad he’s doing alright, I went through a ton of injuries and it can be a grueling process. Hope he continues to do well, and good luck with the rehab.

@HCP do you and your son ever talk about CTE? It's weird because that wasn't even a thing when we were growing up, so nobody was worried about brain trauma, but if I ever have a son I think I would be scared to let them play football. It sucks because I love watching football, but they don't even know very much about CTE at this point.

We have. They have had people come in and talk to the players, parents and coaches about it. Ya when I played, it was never even a thing. Our home field was Civic Stadium. Might as well have been playing in the street.

What does your son think? It seems like he wants to pursue football beyond high school. I think the story that really got my attention was Chris Henry, the Bengals WR who died because he fell out of the back of a pickup, so they also looked at his brain and he had advanced CTE even though he had never had a major concussion or brain injury. Henry was only 26. Pretty scary stuff.

How the hell did you sire such a good looking kid? Baffling.

Which brings up, what's the difference between copywrite, copyright, copywritten, copyrightten, copywriter, and copyrighton.

Update..... today was signing day at school. Miles and his two best friends will be playing at Gold West College in Huntington Beach, CA next season. Kid worked his ass off to rehab. Very proud of him.
Congrats John! Great accomplishment for Jr......and the kicker is it's California and Gold is in the name....now if you just find some purple, you'll feel at home again! Kid's got all the good looks from the Mrs.!
