French green beans. They are a slightly thinner variety

it's pretty funny....we get along around here like 78 rats and 87 snakes trapped in a dumpster....but we are all united in harmony when it comes to stuffing our faces with food
Unless someone is making something that looks like dogfood for their dinner, can we agree on that too?

well, there is one poster here who would love the dogfood entre
I'm just trying to not get booted off the forum because I created a second account names 'Gordon Ramsey' so I can tell everyone that their food pics look like a dogs dinner.

That looks great. The teriyaki joint down the street from me does orange chicken and theirs has carrot and onion in it too. That's the first time I had seen carrot and onion in orange chicken. I guess it's actually pretty normal?

It just happened to be what we had on hand, and I didnt feel like going to the store. I've often seen it with broccoli

I've kind of gotten into volunteering a lot since the shutdown. Helping to start a food bank and trying to keep the youth club I normally run active. It feels pretty good to contribute and get out of my own head.

Also listening to a ton of audiobooks now when I walk my dog. I was listening to lots of podcasts, and realized the political and economic nature of many of them was kind of depressing me. I've listened to Dune, The Great Gatsby, and some George RR Martin in the past couple weeks. So much more fun to listen to. Audible is offering The Hospital for free, and that one kicked ass if you like zombie stories.

That meat loaf looks pretty plain. onions? Crackers? Nothin?

also is haricot verts a fancy name for green beans?
You know what they say about meat loaf. Don't let your meat loaf.
Haricot verts are longer and more slender with more flavor than ordinary string beans. They are French green beans.

Meatloaf is perfect from Marcondas. Great butcher shop. Was only 15 bucks for the whole loaf.

I know. It's just weird to me
When I was a kid we would eat hamburger if we were lucky. So, you can see, I'm kind of use to it.
I also ate a lot of venison but I never got use to it.
Therefor, in my book, disliking ground beef is nuts but disliking venison is perfectly normal.
Every evening before dinner I would imagine what the wealthy people in my community were eating, and there were lots of wealthy people in Oswego. I imgained they were eating a delicious dinner of prime rib with plently of rich dark brown gravy over perfect mashed potatoes. Now, I can eat all of that I want but I can't because I've got to think of the health of my heart and arteries.
I also imagined that if I were rich enough I'd buy me a fire red Corvette or better yet a fire red Ferrari. Now, I'm too old to drive one and if I were in one of those cars with an expert driver driving it and we took tight turns at a high speed, I'd lose my lunch.
Life can be so cruel.

I have no problem with hamburger. It's the loaf part.

Your a very humble man. Thanks for sharing that.

I thought you didn't like the texture which kind of narrows it down to a preference for solid meat.
Me? I've had my share of public school mystery meat.
