Lies, Biden changed the plan, and caused a massive fuckup.

Trump didn't tell Biden the plan. Trump bragged that they couldn't change things.

And, in this case, Trump was right. Unless you're advocating they redeploy our forces, reopen our air bases or arrest Taliban fighters we just released.

"But don't you get it? She's a woman..."

Do some fucking research, and stop believing the lies from the far left cult.

Just watched the video. The only part of the plan that I can see Biden change was delaying the removal of the troops from May to August. The video focuses on a general's recommendation that he also made to Trump that we keep 2-4k troops still on the ground. Trump said no, and made his plan. Biden continued on with it being a no. Continuing on the previous plan.

Not sure what you're upset about. I've asked you to tell me specifically what Biden changed that caused more problems.

Trump flat out said that he put everything in motion so it was impossible to stop the withdrawal. Those are his words. I saw the video.

He also released enough opposition forces to double the force he left to handle the withdrawal. And announced that the withdrawal was going to happen in a given timeframe.

That is going to result in a horrible situation to withdraw from. Are you claiming that Trump did not do these things?

Is it even possible to have an orderly withdrawal from an aggressive area under these circumstances?

According to the top military in charge in Afganistan. It was possible. And told Biden what was needed to keep the peace there.

Biden did not follow their advice, he made his own faulty plan. Then left too little time to make any part of it work.

This is all on fuckup Joe.

From the videos you posted they told Biden the same thing that they told Trump. Trump put actions in motion that could not be changed without redeploying more forces into Afghanistan, which would have basically been an invasion of Afghanistan since we had already agreed to leave.

I don't believe that this was an option. Trump was right that he left Biden with very few options. Biden had to continue with Trump's policy regardless of what the generals wanted to do. We could not redeploy or invade Afghanistan. There was no public will for that.

I don't know what else Biden could have done.

He followed the plan in place with an altered timeline. He didn't listen to advice that went against the previous plan.

Bullshit.

To keep the peace, the military asked for 2,500 troops. When Biden took office, there were 2,500 troops in Afghanistan.

Biden removed most of those troops before the civilians were removed.
Bidens plan left far too few security troops at the embassy and airport.

Also, Biden could have, and should have left the 2,500 troops in Afghanistan untill a democratic government was formed.

It took Biden four months to begin withdrawing troops. That was when Trump's initial pullout was supposed to take place. And, as has already been established, Trump's team did NOTHING to put Biden and the new administration in the loop about what was happening.

Also, your last line about Biden leaving all 2,500 troops there until a democratic government was formed would have been both a) a logistical nightmare and b) quite likely a violation of the terms Trump's administration met with the Taliban when they negotiated with them. And, with 2,500 troops basically in Kabul outnumbered in magnitude by Islamist terrorists, they'd be sitting ducks.

Your proposal probably would have led to hundreds of dead Americans instead of 13. Congratulations, OldGeneralCuster.

That definitely sounds like a lot more dead Americans than 13.

A Democratic government that can stand on its own wasn't formed in the 20 years that we had thousands more troops there... Why would 2500 troops be enough to allow a Democratic government that could stand on its own form? That would have almost certainly violated the terms of the withdrawal that Trump agreed to before Biden was even president. Afghanistan would have almost certainly attacked those 2500 troops.

So...you wanted him to change Trump's plan is what you're saying

I doublechecked something and I misspoke. Biden actually did increase troop levels to cover the withdraw. We had about 6,000 in Kabul in August to protect the withdraw.

Wow, that was a good move.

By Aug 1, only 650 troops remained in Afghanistan. This weakness lead to the fall of Kabul to the Taliban, along with large areas of the country.

Biden did rush in more troops, bringing the total to about 7,000 by some reports. But this may included airforce personnel. However, by then, the US troops had lost control.

Under the original timeline, there would have been zero troops there on August 1st. So again, you're now saying that you WANTED Joe to change the plan, without, other than timeline, showing that it was his plan, and not Trump's.

He followed Trump's plan. You have repeated over and over what he SHOULD have done, or what advisors said he and Trump should do, but have failed to show how it was his plan. And the videos you posted do not show that either.

Bidens press secretary publicly announced it was Bidens plans. Biden gave a speach about his new plan.

U.S. troops had lost control well before this ... largely because the Trump deal essentially removed them from having any ability to control things.

When Biden took office, there were 2,500 U.S. troops in Afghanistan and one airbase and petulant Trump wouldn't tell the incoming administration what was going on.

Biden began withdrawing the remaining 2,500 on May 1, which was when Trump had agreed we'd be out. There was no way to safely have everyone out by then with such short notice, so few troops and one airbase, not even considering that Trump had given back 5,000 fighters to the Taliban. The Afghan military was expected to hold off the Taliban but essentially gave up right off the bat. Considering Trump didn't even have the Afghan government as part of the negotiations, that's probably to be expected.

Trump himself said it was his plan and it would have been impossible to make any real change without going back into a full-scale war with a resupplied Taliban.

You have to be shutting your eyes and yelling to drown out anyone else telling you otherwise not to grasp this. Trump set the parameters. What anyone else could have done after taking over was minimal.

You and Trump have much in common. Both of you have an endless supply of bullshit faulty lies.

You now qualify to run for president.

I guess this is the kind of reply I should have expected when you maneuver yourself into a corner like you so often do. At least you're consistent.

It's not like kids playing army, fish. Biden took office in January with no cooperation from Trump to get him up to speed on the plan in Afghanistan presuming Trump remained in power. We were supposed to leave in May.

How the heck is everything supposed to be done in that amount of time with one airbase and 2,500 troops? Explain that. Logistically, it's practically undoable.
