C'mon, play nice. I spent an entire week last September, crisscrossing the state of Wyoming, up, down and sideways. Just to see what it was all about (having previously seen only pieces of the state that didn't seem to fit together). The southern quarter of Wyoming is most definitely an acquired taste (and boy howdy) but the rest of the state is absolutely awesome. Geography and history on steroids. And a shockingly good microbrew culture throughout the state (though they proudly drink only the lite, corporate swill in the southern end of the state). And the people in general were very, very cool. When they found out where I was from, they would ask if it was as bad as the media made it out to be. I would respond by asking if Wyoming was as bad as the media made it out to be. Then we'd share a knowing smirk and move on to other more relatable subjects......like beer. But it ain't Oregon, and they have reasons for feeling like they do whether we understand them or not. We just come from two very, very different places. But I strongly recommend Wyoming as a wonderful place to spend some quality time.....
I've been to Wyoming a few times. Was there just two years ago. Someone saw my ID too and said they rarely get Oregon folk through the state, kinda sounded like it was a dream for that person to move to the west coast.

Personally, I thought Wyoming and Nebraska were two of the worst states we traveled through. Boston, New York, Utah, Iowa, and Pennsylvania were much better.

TRUMP: How do you how do you define DEI? Go ahead.

SCOTT: Diversity, equity, inclusion.

TRUMP: Okay. Yeah. Go ahead. Is that what your definition is?

SCOTT: That is…

TRUMP: Give me a definition. Would you give me a definition? Give me a definition.

This pretty much says all we need to know about Trumps level of intelligence.

Tell us you traveled I80 without telling us you traveled I80.

The one thing I know people love about Wyoming is the hunting. Is that why you love it? I know ya'll have some pretty badass fireworks too.

I've also visited Cody.

Some of my funniest and most interesting experiences in Wyoming have been along I80. But it is so freakin' different than the rest of the state, that's for sure. Probably why it was so memorable.....

This issue is really one that woke me up to the bipartisan controlled demolition of our freedoms. It’s why I won’t be voting for any of these creatures.
It’s true that democrats created and exacerbated this border problem, but act 2 of the play will be Republicans “solution” to the problem. That solution will be Digital ID and digital currency. Basically unmitigated big tech invasion of privacy ushered in by JD Vances homies at Palantir and it’s various shell companies. At this point the finger pointing about the border will subside and the solution will be presented with bipartisan agreement and praise.
The solution was always the end goal; the problems were simply created as a means to arrive there.
Take this formula and apply it to nearly every ‘crisis’ we’ve been handed and the empire begins to make sense.

On one hand, I agree that our civil liberties are eroded with the response to every crisis. You've got something there. And, serious question: "digital ID and digital currency" doesn't really sound like a dastardly plan to me. What's the big deal?

On the other hand, this process does not need a grand conspiracy to accomplish. The accelerated rate of crisis and overblown reaction to them are simply a part of the political and social enshittification that prolonged life in a modern capitalist industrial society has caused. A combination of boom-bust markets, pay-for-play politics, and frayed social ties cause economic, political, and social distress. Any of these distresses can cause a crisis: a market crash, a blowhard dumbass fascist gaining widespread popular support, a school shooting, a plague, etc. And each time the response is to do whatever it takes to return to 'normalcy', i.e. maintaining economic productivity. The hive of scum and villainy that run the world aren't causing these events, but they certainly have them predicted with their best statistical models and have figured out how to maintain their accelerating profits through each one. Maximize profits and minimize loss. Curtailing civil rights is good for business.

Back in ~2012 we drove down I90 from Montana to I25 and stayed with friends in Kaycee on a sheep ranch for a week. Absolutely beautiful out there. Then we went to a rodeo in Casper which was cool but we were incredibly out of place lol

Year, 1985-/+
Driving east on a business trip.

Not sure about Wyoming, but, back then, the Montana freeway daylight speeding ticket was only a $5 conservation fine. Payable to the LEO that stopped you. No matter how fast you were going.

Anyway, heading east in Wyomimg. About 100 yards ahead of my car, and 100' off of the ground. A missile flew across the freeway. Later, figured out it was a cruise missile test.

Did you happen to get a 75 cent ice cream cone at Little America?

The new people moving here from out of state change their plates like day 1, and start wearing painfully obvious outfits to try and fit in. A person wearing brand new, spotless western workwear who absolutely cannot pull it off is a painful, painful sight. It’s like a strange inverse of the Steve Buscemi skateboard meme.

Lots to like about Wyoming. But, I could never live there.

I can handle very extreme weather. But, the wind in Wyoming is too much.

You lived in Oregon right? Ever make it out to the gorge and feel that wind?

You are from Oregon though? Did you ever go hunting here? We have pretty great hunting too.
I am. Born and raised in Newberg/Sherwoood. I moved out here when i was 17 and didn’t get into hunting until my 20’s. I have buddies back home who hunt Oregon but I never have.

Fished the gorge many times. The gorge is one big horizontal windy chimney. But, we could still fish most days in a boat.

In Wyoming, you would get blown off of the water much more often.

I have many relatives who hunt in Oregon and they beg to differ.

I have a freezer full of ground elk that my cousin supplies me with every year.

Public land hunting in Oregon is horrible compared to hunting in Wyoming and Idaho.

Most of the good hunting in Oregon is on private land.

My wife briefly lived in Cody.

The big deal is the government being able to render you obsolete and remove you from the financial world with a few keystrokes. You may think this is good because they are only doing this to “bad guys”. Well, a certain government may just deem you the bad guy for the way you think or the opinions you have. When you relinquish power to a government you think is benign, that same power is held by the next government and the next who may not be. We are still subject to the “temporary” draconian abomination that is the Patriot Act in the year 2024, as just one example. Every administration left, center or right has clutched that power and voted to reinstate it time and time again for over 20 years.

While your opinion of government and elites is not favorable (and thats good), I still think you are giving them way too much credit. You say they are just trying to make a buck while holding it all together. I say they are looting a ship they themselves set ablaze and trying to escape in time to watch the rest of us sink with it.

I'm sorry you disrespect my profession, but I do want to reassure you that the women will not be sinking with your ship.

I have a copy of Kamala Harris’s @KamalaHarris’s birth certificate. Nowhere on her birth certificate does it say that she is BLACK OR AFRICAN.

Kamala is a liar.

Donald Trump is correct. Kamala Harris is NOT black and never has been.

She is also the descendent of slave owners.

Kamala Harris is the daughter of Donald J Harris, who was born in Jamaica, and Shyamala Gopalan Harris from India.

Kamala Harris’s four-times-paternal-great-grandfather is a guy named Hamilton Brown . He was born in Co Antrim in 1776, the same year of the US Declaration of Independence. Brown emigrated to Jamaica when it was a British colony, and once he arrived, he became an avid slave owner on the sugar plantations in Jamaica.

Hamilton Brown opposed the abolition of slavery in the British Empire and promoted slavery and slave ownership till the day he died.

See Kamala Harris’s birth certificate below.
