The last time we had a motley crew of rejects...

Nah, this guys said we have 3 allstars on our roster right now. Just curious who the hell he was posting about!
I said it's very possible, not that we "do".

I think it's great that we have a stable of young, athletic, talented bigs right now, but something is gonna have to give.

Alexander - 19 years old (assuming we keep him)
Vonleh - 20 years old
Leonard- 23 years old
Plumlee - 25 years old
Davis - 26 years old

Old Man Davis

Having a moral leader isn't going to magically make shots fall in.
It's not about morality. It's about character. It's about behavior. It's about leadership. If he was a better leader, he would have squashed behaviors both on and off the court that cost his team wins.

Having character -usually- (USUALLY) means you have morals that you live by.

Not trying to argue FAMS......but you said we have 3 who "are or will eventually be" allstars. Just putting that out there that we do NOT have 3 players who ARE or WILL be all stars.

How do you know that? Are you saying that it's impossible that 3 of the 15 guys on this roster will ever be All-Stars?

That sounds like lunch is on the line....

Pippen? He's been a fine leader. Steve Smith, also a leader with high character. I really don't know what straws you are grasping at here.

That's not what we're aiming for this year.

In 2-3 years, those shots will fall though.

Processes are cool.

Yeah, I'm fine with that. Its just to me, character doesn't really matter. The Jailblazers were fun to watch when they won, its only when they lost that they were a real story.

Winning cures all ills. I'll cheer for assholes who will win rather than nice guys that lose.

But how do you know these nice guys that lose are not gonna be nice guys that win? Losses don't create the aholes, they are just showing thier true CHARACTER. See how that works?

You of all people on here are smarter than this. This can't be your argument. This is one step away from, I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I!

I guess I'm confused about what you're saying. It looks like you're saying that nobody on this roster (except Dame) will ever be an All-Star.

I would go as far as to say, that besides Dame, there isn't an actual NBA starter on this roster let alone an all star.

Really? Plumlee? Davis? Aminu?

Plumlee was on the Olympic team. Aminu started for the Mavs last year. Davis looked pretty good on the Lakers.

I guess there are 150 starting spots available in the NBA, so I stand corrected.

Not really. You're living in a fantasy world if you think that's how things work. Assholes win all the time because they do what it takes.

I'd say Plumlee is.

All the other ones... what do you expect? Most of these players have been in the league < 3 years... How many become starters on decent teams in under 3 years?

It's. A. Process.

It's not a fantasy world. It's called you can be a decent human being and work to get results, and not be a douchecanoe to people.

I think Davis is a perfect NBA Backup PF, but not a starter on a good deep playoff team unless there are superstars next to him in the wings (more than just Lillard). I think Aminu is starting quality as is Plumlee right now.

Aminu is replacing Nic. You thought people were bitching about Batum's game, wait till they get a load of this guy. He can't hit a 3 to save his life. Plume is a perfect backup and the only reason Davis put up any kind of numbers is because of the squad he was on.

Again, if we're talking about results these things do not matter at all.

Man, you've become cynical.

People were bitching about Batum because A) he was making bank, and B) every 4th or 5th game he would show us something amazing and then he'd disappear. That's what pissed people off.
