The Lawless President Romney

Cliff notes? :dunno:

Romney wins in 2012. He begins to delay parts of ObamaCare on whims, which basically rewrites the law as he sees fits to give exemptions to certain groups. This isn't by EO, it is literally amending passed legislation that has even been approved by the USSC.

Would the media be silent if Romney was delaying an Obama law that was passed by Congress?

Of course they wouldn't. The template is now set for future presidents. If you don't like parts of a law, or an entire law, just decree changes to it, and that changes the law that is enacted by congress, and signed by a President.

Obama's media supporters are too stupid to see this precedent, though. Obama is not only exercising the line-item veto, but he also is changing the existing law via EO.

It's unprecedented.

The media's reaction has been silence. People called Bush an imperial president? That shit makes me laugh compared to the guy who is in the White House right now.

So true...

Washington D. C. — In a move certain to please his conservative supporters and infuriate his critics, President Romney announced this afternoon that his administration would make yet another change to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. In a terse release, posted without fanfare to the Department of Health and Human Services website, officials revealed that the law’s employer mandate would be suspended until 2016 for all businesses that employ between 50 and 99 people.

The move comes hot on the heels of news that the agency would not be enforcing the provisions in the law that require Americans to buy approved health insurance until after the next election. Now, as then, a simple explanation was forthcoming. “The president won,” a White House aide told National Review Online. “His disdain for the law was ratified by the people. Now he’s going to fundamentally transform it.”

“This is an utter disgrace,” griped Senator Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.). “This law was passed through Congress, signed by the previous president, and upheld by the Supreme Court.”

Tweaks to health care legislation don't compare to starting two massive generation-long wars, complete with dozens of torture asylums around the planet, with the only rational decipherable goal being to rectify one's father's reputation in not marching on Baghdad in Iraq War I.

I don't know why you bother nitpicking Obama. Just wait 3 years to start your new wars and tax cuts for the rich.
