The Verdict
A hodgepodge of different films in one, The Lone Ranger is intermittently entertaining yet frustrating and disappointing. Veering between gruesome villains and silly humor, the film never quite figures out what works and when enough's enough. Depp mugs his way through the film, but he and Hammer have a fun chemistry together.
