The loss against the 76ers really was the wake up call, it seems...

14-3. 5-0 on the road. And they won three in a row before the Philly loss, but I doubt even the players thought they'd find this gear.

Thanks, Sixers!

Yep; a big loss to a bad team lights a fire under good teams, and demoralizes bad teams. We have found out which kind the Blazers are.

BTW, that's a 67.5-win pace. Amazing to keep that up for 17 games.

...just don't tell Vegas, some people have been making a killing on the Blazers! :devilwink:

At the time, I thought the POR -4.5 line against Chicago was a bit overhyped in Portland's favor... but we beat the spread.

I thought this team was going to go into another tailspin after blowing it to Houston, and at times during the Chicago game they had me worried, barely beating the Bulls bench. But this was a solid win tonight. We should be on a 9 game winning streak now.

I don't know what happened to Lillard against Houston (even before Ariza made his life hell), but if Lillard has a 30+ point night, we'd definitely have that 9 game win streak.

Philly lose never bothered me; we were on a second of a back to back during a month with extensive travel. Games like that happen.

But we've played amazing lately. Go Blazers!

Minor correction--we were on the second half of a back to back after a 10-day home-stand.

Interestingly, I recently heard a theory about teams playing on the road in NY or LA, suggesting that most teams have worse records after playing in those cities than in others. So far, we are 0-3 following games @LAL, @LAC, or @BRK.

Our next game is @NYK, followed by a @BOS. Don't be surprised if that stat goes to 0-4.

I honestly don't remember this game.

I deleted it from my memory bank.
