The Moda Center?

I'm fine with it. Just hope it doesn't turn into "Depressed Moda Arena"

Not so bad for me....I just got Stent and a pacemaker in my heart paid for by Moda. I kinda like.

Let's compromise, and start calling it the Yoda center.

Anyway Arena and Quicken Loans are worse

I'm gonna call it what I've always called it:

"The Garden"

(I will say though that my son does have health insurance through MODA).

I don't think it's bad...But when someone hears or reads this. They are not going to have a clue what it is. Moda Health (which sounds worse) would have at least given the kind of business they are. People are going to say "what's moda"?

Someone answer my damn question

It's a rejection of the corporatocracy MM.

What if they changed the name of the Madison Square Garden? I think even Jordan would not be on board with that with as many times as he's scored 40+ there.

If any place has a corporate entity that would LOVE to rename their city's main arena it would be New York. Friggin' David Lee got 6+MM per year there in local endorsements. But why don't they change the name? They would have plenty of suitors.

And that's why they're paying the money. To get the conversation started.

HCP: please use this song in honor of the new name
"Get'cho Moda running!"

I was just getting ready to post I thought MODA would be a good name for a heavy metal band, then I see this. Good call!

ODS/MODA is my company health insurance provider. I'm not that thrilled that they are spending $4 million of our premium money on this. WTF do they need that kind of advertising exposure to entice companies to go with their insurance plans? Is some company going to pay them more for less, just because their name is on the Rose Garden? It's a big, important dollars and 'sense' decision, not based on name recognition.

How many arenas nationwide use regional corporations as sponsors? Just curious

Don't know because without someone supplying a list to me I only know the names of arenas that I have actually been in. Which leads me to believe that regional corporate names are a good investment. If they can afford it.

I'm an aspiring dyslexic. In the spirit of the [pig] latin rebranding, I think I'll refer to it as O-Dam!

Any chance the Blazers can take some of this money and fix the fountain? I miss the water and fire show before games.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to BBert again.

My wife and son have MODA. I wonder how they do this since Obamacare forces them to spend 80% of our premium on actual healthcare...

What happened to those lying f'ers that said "Oh no, no no, it's not going to be the MODA center, I don't know where you got that info, but it's wrong." queue one month later!

Isaac Ropp broke this a few weeks ago. We discussed it at length on this board.

I'm sure the upcoming premium hike will be purely coincidental. :)

I keep reading this, but can't find any confirmation anywhere on the internet that it is at all true.

Chris McGowan mentioned the fountain specifically on flight 750 saying they plan on getting that going again.

Is Brian Wheeler going to say, "And they're on their feet here at the Moda Center!"?
