Basically the developers of the game have to design and render in all the jerseys, courts, etc for the upcoming season so they usually get to see these type of things first from the NBA so it's accurate for the upcoming season. They have a bunch of shoes in there too, a lot of signature shoes. They get access to all these things from the NBA
