Dallas has Campbell in the pipeline i don't see Talbot going there.

Cam deal may be a big puff of smoke.

Lol, Oilers pick is getting closer... With all the hype it looks like it's gonna be a downer in terms of a package trade

Told you guys Sather wasn't gonna do a damn thing. Fucking hack of a GM.

Wouldn't you know it.....the damn
Islanders burst the bubble. Fuck
Sather. His greed cost him and the team.

To NYI: Picks 16 & 33
To Edm: Griffin Reinhart

As usual he overpriced Cam Talbot.

This is why Sather needs to be out of the GM role. He tried to get too much. As soon as Buffalo pulled out he got super greedy thinking he had the only ticket in town. Now we're left with our dicks in our hands and nothing to show for a 27 year old backup goalie. Great job Glen. Go choke on your cigar.

NHL teams telling Sather, " Go fuck yourself ".

Hey, Sather. How about 2 cigars and a toilet
for your pleasure & for Cam Talbot? POC.LOL.

He'll probably get traded tomorrow for SJ 2nd and a prospect or something.

The overrating of what Talbot would bring back is incredible.

I guess Glen decided to keep Cam so he does not have to worry about signing a backup in the offseason.

Overrated or not, teams were offering good options for him. Glen waited and now a lot of potentials buyers are out due to trading first round picks and not wanting to give up their seconds and/or prospects. Will be interesting to see if Sather continues to fuck this up tomorrow.

What were the offers?

Reinhard is that good where he gets a return like that. I don't get it, wouldn't that dumbass Chiarella want someone who can stop the puck

Whatever they were, they were better today and yesterday than they will be tomorrow. Potential suitorsade other moves and ruled themselves out by making said moves. Also, other teams in the east got better while we stayed pat. If we can't get a top 2nd rounder plus for Cam then it makes no sense now to trade him and then we wait until the trade deadline and hope Cam continues to do well on his spot starts so we can get some value for him. If he stinks it up in even a couple of his spot starts then he loses a lot of value. Basically we played with fire, tried to be greedy and got burned.

So in other words you have no idea.

Neither do you. Which is why I said whatever they were today and yesterday, they'll be worse tomorrow. Nice of you to ignore the logical reasoning in the rest of my post. Love that selective reading capability.

Explain to me how the potential deals might be better tomorrow now that all these other trades have been made. Don't worry. I'll wait

You said and I quote "teams were offering good options for him." Now you say you have no idea what if anything was offered.

Because you're making an idiotic assumption that because a team made a deal the same deal would've been made for Cam Talbot.

Judging by all the rumors out there that were somewhat legit sources not HF boards, we had opportunities. Plus, look at other moves that were made. Logical reasoning would lead one to come to the conclusion that we got greedy and blew s chance. I'm not saying we had a top 10 pick lined up, cuz that's ridiculous. But there were several deals made by teams that we were linked to that we could have done better. Unless Cam refused to go there then I don't know how we couldn't have moved him today unless Sather got too greedy.

ahhhhhhh now lets go by rumors. Like I said none of us have an idea so to get upset by it is just plain silly. Frankly the moves I saw made made more sense and were for better players than Cam Talbot. That's why I said the overrating of what he's worth by some Ranger fans is pretty funny.

I'm making the assumption based on the fact that those teams had been linked through sources to be in on Cam. I'm not pulling a Yandle for Lucic bs rumor out of my ass. These were legit teams that needed goaltending and were linked to us with Cam, and from what all the sources said we had several offers and apparently we whiffed on all of them. We could still get 2 2nds for Talbot tomorrow and that would be good for him, but I'd now be very surprised to get more than a low second or third for him and at that rate of return he shouldn't get moved. But then if he sucks next season we've blown a chance to get a decent return for him. My only concern really is that all these teams we were supposedly linked to made other moves and now it looks like nothing gets done for Cam, we don't get better, we basically get backed into a corner by Hags and his agent (and I'm not a fan of bringing Hagelin back; he's a good player but he's 100% a speed guy with very poor hands and finishing skills and those are two needs this team has, not more speed) and overpay to keep him and thereby lose out on really making us better and instead take two steps back by not filling the voids that need filling.

If there really was an offer for 2 2nds that's probably something they should've jumped on.

Whatever happens Day 2, happens or not.
Why does Ranger management show up
on Day 1. An empty table is as invaluable
as a full table. :smiley-puke:

I've said for years that 95% of GM's are morons and you saw it tonight. Starting with the Islanders whose weak spot is defense and goal so they traded a top defenseman prospect for 2 picks. Moronic. Loved it because it make their team much weaker. The Boston moves made them a team that won't be a factor against us for a few years. Loved that. Though I get them rebuilding. Their picks though on paper made little sense. I don't get the Buffalo trade at all. That guy is an A-hole and they are stocked at center. They need wings. Not another center.

Brooks is saying Florida is offering Jimmy Hayes, Kevin's brother for Talbot. He's 6'6 and a right handed shot. Scored 19 goals last year. He's 25. I'm saying pass without a second rounder and another pick attached to him. Hayes never did crap before last season.

I don't blame Sather for not dealing him yet. Other teams in hockey hate NY. They have a small market, chip on their shoulder with NY. Let them suffer with no goalie and suck like they do almost every year. They are the teams that aren't winning. It's up to them to offer up a deal to change that. The offers he got were probably crap. In fact, Talbot might not get dealt until the middle of next year when those teams realize once again their goalies are pathetic.
