Aren't the majority of Dr Who fans women? I'm not really understanding the evil sexist Dr Who fans talk that I see Rasta posting and some clickbait sites going after.

I'm a stalwart fan of the original run (60s-90s) and yet I still agree on the greatness of "Blink". Interestingly, Tennant is not in that episode much - it's mainly the Carey Mulligan show. (They've kind of milked the Weeping Angels since.)

I actually think the love triangle business was a bit annoying. This started with Rose and David Tennant. Bleh - if you're a hundreds-of-years-old super-intelligent alien, can you REALLY have a romantic interest with a barely literate young Chav? This is the equivalent of pedophilia. Better if the Doctor looks on his companions indulgently, like pets he's (now she's) very fond of.

It certainly is a bit cringe-worthy - but that's how it is fun as well - how are they going to solve it without becoming real ugly. I thought they solved it somewhat intelligently by kind of getting them both - marrying River Song.

Well, I was pissed when they changed the Dirk Pitt character in Sahara. It's a character that had many many books written about him, and they changed his background. Maybe the screenplay writers didn't think two Air Force pilots were believable, so they had to make them into Navy SEALs?

BTW, it was hard to fit all of those into one coherent paragraph..... a little appreciation would be.... appreciated?

Except, the Dr has had lengthy conversations about past female regenerations. It is and always has been part of the story, it just wasn't necessarily shown. I think it is about time to show it.

Well he's a Nazi now in the comics so there's some disconnect for sure... but in the movies? Watch Wonder Woman and First Avenger back to back; same movie different wars.
 
Make Bond female, make Shaft a transgender Asian, make Batman a robot, make Wonder Woman a Russian grandfather......just switch it all up.
