Jasmine Crockett pointed out in Texas in the year after Row was overturned, 26,000 women and girls were raped. Not by trans people. Funny how protecting women doesn't cover actual assaults against women.

She also voted against deporting any illegal convicted of raping a person, so she isnt trying to help woman who have been raped either

nobody voted to protect a rapist....that's not what was voted on but you know that. it's a coattail racist insult parroting the false narrative that all the brown immigrants were rapists...more Trump bluster to rally the ignorant..no bill on immigration is specific to any case or crime committed by anyone illegally in the country..criminals however do slip through the cracks of justice...even to the point of getting elected president!

How does deporting the rapist help the person being raped? If you just deport them, they're much more likely to be able to come back than if you, y'know IMPRISON them!

All the people celebrating this aren't thinking about the repercussions. When you allow the government to take away rights from one group, what's to stop them from taking rights from others, and eventually your rights?

That's not even speaking to them trying to eliminate the existence of a group of people right now who aren't really harming anyone.

Under executive order prisoners are incarcerated based on gender assigned at birth. Someone who looks like a woman, acts like a woman, dresses like a woman must now be sent to men's prison. What could possibly go wrong? Or maybe the bigots consider it right.

The Venn diagram of "People Who Want Trans Women in Men's Prisons" and "People Who Believe In Corrective Rape For Lesbians" is nearly a circle. Also, if they follow the Florida method, the trans women in prison will be forcibly de-transitioned (head shaved, HRT denied, forced into conversion therapy).

Freaking sucks. The vast majority of them almost certainly should not be in prison anyway.

And in this case, they should absolutely be given whatever medical treatments they were getting on the outside and they should be separated from any dangerous situations.

I absolutely agree that we need prisons, but forcing any person into a situation where their gender is forced to change or where their gender puts themselves or others at risk is inhumane. It should be classified as cruel and unusual punishment, IMO.

For it to be cruel and unusual it would have to be considered inhumane to put people with their birth gender, which it isn’t going to be for the next four years minimum. Once we get some deaths and rapes we might walk this back.

Forcing a person to detransition should be considered cruel and unusual. As should putting anybody with any other inmate who threatens their safety, IMO. Regardless of genders.

Detransition from what? Our govt now doesn’t believe that’s even a real thing. You can’t detransition if you are born a boy and that’s that. Let’s be clear this isn’t my view. But we don’t have anything other than boys and girls born now and they stay that way. So the whole “transitioning” process is moot. Birth Males in one part of the prison, birth females the other.

From a vampire, if that's what you've been getting medical treatments for. Whatever medical treatments your doctor had you on should be kept up. The justice system makes too many mistakes to deprive somebody of medical treatments they have been getting to feel whole.

I know it's not your take, and I appreciate you playing devil's advocate. It helps flesh things out.

I don't think it should matter (in this case) if gender transitioning is recognized by the government. You should not be deprived of your medical treatments because the government decides you deserve to be in jail.

I'm obviously not a lawyer, but that really seems like the way it should be.

Wait till you hear what the govt did about women’s right to an abortion. You’ll freak. The amount of damage that is going to be done over the next fours years will be in some aspects insurmountable. Not only with the laws that he will change or create, etc, but the impact it’ll continue to have on his followers, cementing his beliefs on the next generation of lunatics. Sucks for kids.

The order is full of non scientific language. It declares gender from "moment of conception", a term popular with forced birthers. There is no moment of conception. Fertilization is a multi step process that can be derailed at any step. All placental mammalian embryos begin with undifferentiated genitalia. When genitals begin development they develop female. Later most, not all, XY fetuses produce excess testosterone that causes development of male genitalia. So you could argue Trump declared all men to be women because of how they look early on.
The order then defines male and female by size of gametes, large or small. Is pussy grabber too delicate to say ova and sperm? But prepubescent children don't produce gametes. Women using hormonal birth control don't ovulate. Some people, male and female, with standard genitalia just don't produce gametes. What are all these people? Men? Women? If so, based on what? No exceptions exist in the order.
Order also declares fertilized egg a human so could be interpreted to outlaw all abortion.
