Yep.

Yesterday was my birthday. I slicked back my hair and had a passport photo taken that looks masculine enough that nobody in the government will think to hold my passport renewal hostage. When I get that back I can sit on it until my job fires me for being trans. Then I will go to the hairdresser, ask him to give me a boring man’s haircut, and then I will get the fuck out of this country while there is still time.

My job is pretty good, I’m a low-level white collar functionary for a major sportswear company. But tariffs are fucking with their whole thing and they might end up laying off a bunch of people. I’m a little embittered so I grouse that it’ll be because I’m trans but it’s just as likely it’ll just be because they’re losing a bunch of money to the bastard’s trade war. Either way, the severance and ability to leverage my entire 401k are the key. Once I have those I can make my move.

I don't know anything about it. As far as I was aware genetic testing was not necessarily accurate. This was the first site that I'd seen which claimed a method was 100% accurate and I came across it when I was searching for background on the method that the World Boxing Commission is planning to use for the Olympics.

I know Simone Biles is trying to do what's right here... And maybe I'm missing something... But I don't think a transgender category in all sports helps anybody. I'm not necessarily opposed to it, if it works and makes everyone happy. I just don't see how it helps much.

*Edit* I don't think there are enough competitors to create these specific divisions. This just seems like it would fully exclude transgender athletes.

He would have resigned anyway because anyone in the military with two brain cells to rub together knows the president will tell them to kill civilians in the next few months. However I am glad he decided to use the trans issue as the reason he gave. It gives me hope that I’ll one day be able to return to the US after I leave.

Fox not news described cis swimmer who promoted controversy as Olympic swimmer. She was not. She tried out for Olympic team but did not make it. Her best performance at any national meeting was fifth place. She was a very good swimmer but not very best and nothing to do with trans women. Most people in that position get on with their lives but she decided to gain fame and fortune going all over right wing media to cry about how persecuted she was.
 
DUI hire is spending our tax dollars on cameras in Pentagon restrooms to find trans people. Because nothing says "protect women" like spy cams when we pee.
