Especially how we could go 2-6 (8 games) out of the 7 games that was mentioned in this thread. That's a loss just because!

PS - You must be hung like a gorilla or richer than an oil tycoon, judging by your avatar. However you landed that, good for you. Completely off topic, I know.

Semantics. Big fucking deal, Bromixolito fucked up the game count, the idea is all that matters.

Well, that's awkward. It's a small picture...

*Disappears into the shadows*

And as for the wife...

Red has always been a great color!

My daughter is gorgeous. I won't ever call her hot though. She's my little best friend!

damn mags do ya thang homie.

CHICAGO - this could go either way, because chicago has the defensive capacity to shut down (and they wouldn't even have to completely shut down) portland's offensive game plan and win. and if derrick rose has a derrick rose game, which is possible but rather unlikely in a hostile environment like the Roda Garcenter, then consider this a probable loss. still, i have all the confidence IN the confidence this team has in its system. home cookin'
+ 8 game streak steeze: win.

@ Golden State - back-to-back, away game. oracle arena is about a legit a crowd and environment as you can get in the NBA. home cooking' for dame, and you know he's gonna bring it, but I think this is a loss with or without Steph. they have the horses to beat us in other ways, and this'll probably be one of those games where iggy turns into Reggie Miller and burns us from deep. we shall see, but I'm calling this a loss.

NEW YORK - the knickerbockers are not beating the 2013-14 portland trail blazers at home. this team knows how to take care of lower competition, and even if melo goes for 45 he'll do it so inefficiently it won't matter. WIN.

@ Phoenix - same idea as the knicks game, except it's not home. in the past we've had trouble in phx, and yes our last two games with them were tough, but portland really is much better than the suns. talent and execution will win out here. props to phx for being any more than a complete joke though. jeff horny seems legit (or at least his defensive cordinator does). winner winner chicken dinner.

@ Lakers - this game i'm a little shaky on. i feel less threatened by the lakeshow than i do by the suns, yet this might be one of those game where xavier henry decdes to do his best kobe impression. nevertheless, talent and execution win again. i say win, but shaky.

INDIANA - these next two games we're gonna split. i say we lose to indy simply because of their defense, depth, and paul george being a legitimately strong offensive weapon. indy is a damn good team and i hope we play competitively with them. Loss.

OKC - fuckin sooners. i irrationally hate everything about the thunder, so out of pure spite i say win. the thunder have a decent record, but a lot of their games have been closer than they probably would have liked and their defense doesn't look very strong. it's not hard to get westbrook and durant out of synch with each other, and ibaka is not beating us with his aldridge-impersonation.

i'm saying 5-2, worse 4-3 due to an unexpected loss to the lakers or suns. leggo p-town blazers.

Portland just finished off a 4-0 road trip to push their early season record to a gaudy 10-2. But as surprising as that start has been, most fans and many in the media are reserving judgement until they play tougher competition. Well here is their chance to see where they really stack up.

CHICAGO - players and coaches will tell you the first game back after a long road trip is often the toughest. Chicago isn't quite what they were two years ago but they still play defense and Rose is figuring out his way back.

@ Golden State - If the first game back after a long road trip is tough, where does a b2b on the road at the Warriors come in? Hopefully Portland can get a win versus Chicago or they could easily be looking at two losses in a row as the Warriors are a tough matchup for anyone and 5-0 at home so far this season.

NEW YORK - The 'break game in this tough 7 game stretch. Carmelo is driving his teammates batty and the dysfunction is rivaling James Dolan's inadequacy as a GM.

@ Phoenix - The Suns have come back to earth after a quick start but they are still playing teams tough and close for the most part even in losses. Portland struggles in the Valley of the Sun regardless of how the Suns are playing but if the Blazers are for real, this is a game you want them to win.

@ Lakers - This could be Kobe's first game back....great timing for Blazer fans. So far, the Lakers have been NJ-East with tons of injuries and lackluster play.

INDIANA - Want a measuring stick game? Here it is. Big, slow defensive centers, perimeter scorers and scoring PGs. These teams mirror each other a bit with similar type players having advantages at different positions.

OKC - Measuring stick 2.0 Oklahoma gives the Blazers fits because Westbrook can out-Damian Lillard, Durant toys with Batum and Ibaka is enough of a defensive presence to bother Aldridge.

After these 7 games, we should get a much better feel for where the Blazers are and what we might expect going forward for the rest of the season. I want to say 5-2 but somehow I can see a 'surprise' loss in there somewhere to go 4-3. Two of the toughest three games are at home which bodes well. Where do you see them ending up at the end of this stretch?

Could be a quite humbling experience.

And then maybe not...

we will beat Chicago. moda will be rockin on a Friday night with 8 game win streak goin..chi on a B2B..W. GS is a sure loss tho

Will be a interesting game rose has been very good in his past few games win or loss

...wait...is this THE TBpup? :MARIS61:

I don't know about it being 'THE TBpup' but yeah, we are all the same poster. Was hoping to have an extreme insider like back in the old days as one of my clients was up for a very 'insider' position but it didn't work out.

Looking forward to some good banter here as well.

This was a game they HAD to have to start out this stretch. One amazing quarter covered a mediocre to poor other three quarters and they squeaked out a win. Going into Golden State off a loss for their 5th game in 7 days would have been asking a lot to not have a two game losing streak..

I think they stumble tonight but this is a game most fans had down as a loss from the beginning. Oakland has notoriously been a tough place to play although not sure of the status of Curry which could be in the Blazers favor.

Good start....6 games to go.

Re: The Next 7: Getting a gauge after a very good start (1-0)

I wonder if these last two games were the games carlito thought we'd win on his 2-6 prediction?!?!

After fighting through 2/3s of the game but looking for all the world that their legs just weren't going to be able to carry them home, Bogut decides to give a pork chop to Freebird's throat. LA goes 'Joel Przybilla' on him and turns into a man posessed! This was the game I thought for sure would be a loss and whatever that scuffle started, they completely finished. I love the attitude.

10 in a row and 8 for 8 back to back games. What more do we need? 30 game win streak to gauge?
