A league source tells me the #Blazers intend on waving center Greg Oden.

Looks like they are buying out Williams

A league source also tells me the #Blazers are working on a buyout with newly acquired forward Shawne Williams.

Jesus. If he plays again, I'm going to be bummed.

Waiving him?

The epitomy of incompetence in the front office.

bwahahahahhah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BURN BABY B URN

I can remember joking about the possibility he'd be as injured as much as Walton or Bowie. He was worse than both. I'm stunned it's come to this end.

If he comes back from his 3rd MF surgery he'd be the first person to do so in pro-sports history.

This was the only move. He already said he had no intention to even listen to Portland this summer.

why buyout anyone? I don't get it? wouldnt waiving Oden and Chris johnson (still dont get that) make buying someone out unnessecary?

It may be to negotiate an amount less than his full salary, which would save the team real money (versus cap money) ... the kind of thing and owner might do if he's looking to sell a team.

Williams has a contract past this season, so I think they want to get as much cap space as humanly possible.

This day is like a ripping a bandaid off. Quick and ruthless.

Yep, good riddance to the guy who will go down as the biggest draft bust in the franchise's history, which is saying something.

No more seeing him in a suit behind the bench.
