If someone told me SA played at GS without Parker, Duncan and Ginobli...... and Curry goes for 30, Lee goes 32, and Bogut grabs 18 rebounds........I am not guessing SA won that game.

And that's why some of us have been talking about our lack of bench.

Belinelli goes for 28 off the bench.

Patty Mills slides into the starting role and drops 20.

Golden State, on the other hand, is suffering from the same problem that we are. They have no bench. 13 points from their bench. That's why they lost.

Mo Williams can drop 20 easily in a starting role too.

And Dorell Wright is perfectly capable of dropping 20+ on a night he gets starter minutes too.

Yeah I agree with you. Bench players who start are like two different players.

Our problem with the bench is not entirely all of the players fault. Pop has the best system in the NBA. We had Patty Mills and half the fans on this board hated his game.

We have some talent on our bench too. But it all starts with the PG. Terry needs to make some adjustments. Put me in the camp that wants to see Mo play SG with the 2nd unit. Time to give Earl a few games to see what he can do running the 2nd team. Get Trob the ball in a position closer to the basket.

Which one of those guys drops 28 off the bench? Just curious.

Mo Will dropped 33 two years ago off the bench for the Clippers and had like 10 games with 20+ points off the bench that year.

Dorell Wright dropped 25 points off the bench in a game for the Sixers last year. Is it 28? No, but 25 is still damn good.

Both of these guys are capable of dropping 20+ off the bench.

It's not like Marco Bellinelli doesn't have his share of shit games. Dude is just hot right now. Like hansel. Last year he shot 40% from the field and 36% from 3. He is shooting 51% and 54% right now on the season.

Do you ever get the feeling that Charles Barkley and the TNT team tries to mess with the Blazer fans?

I think they deliberately poke fun sometimes. Apparently we are one of the more "viral" fan bases and tend to take to twitter and call out things more then others, at least thats the sense I get from several podcasts I listen to on a daily basis.

They miss Jack and Landry BADLY.

I know they did it tonight when they said that Okc and the Spurs were the best teams in the west and shortly after they said something about Portland. It was evident what they were doing.

I'll have to give it a listen but after hearing what they'v said about Portland so far this year its not surprising they wouldn't have us in the same tier as OKC/Spurs because those teams have proven it in the post season.

I didn't hear it, but Portland is at a level just under those two teams. They don't have the playoff experience and they do not yet receive the super star calls. They are getting close, but watching both teams last night, I think they are the best in the west.

Portland, Houston, and the Clippers are next IMO. We need to finish better than one of them to get home court in the first round. Preferably both because I would hate to play either one. But hell it is a long season. A lot can happen.

It could be like professional wrestlers playing the Heel. They just stir shit up to get ratings.

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

@nbastats: After last night, @KDTrey5 now has 13 games of 30+points. That's 6 more than anybody else in the league (7; Melo, Curry, Harden)

Finally watching the Heat vs Pacers from the other night and something really caught my eye. The HEAT have changed. Remember 2 years ago all that stupid pre tip bullshit they used to do during intros. They have said fuck that......when they introduce the starters to the fans on the PA, they don't even run out. They all stay by the bench and just take their warmups off and get ready. These guys are all business now. I'm going to watch their game tonight as well vs the Kings, see if it was just because it was a big network game that they did that.

16 threes in a game.... that's more than most people take total, and he ended up shooting 12-28.

A lot of that was cause his teammates could not do crap.

And we don't vilify Dame for shooting 15+ threes, why should we do the same for Curry? Both guys are amazing at it, so why not. A contested 3 from Curry or Lillard is better than an open shot from Mo....

I'm not bashing on him. I just think that's a shit ton of threes.

It was him trying to get his team back into the game.

Just like how Dame took 14 last game, 12 the game before.

It just blows my mind. I'm curious what Reggie Miller's career high for attempted threes in a game was.

Wow Bledsoe really surprises me to be on that list. Got to be a huge reason for Phoenix success this season.

Do you seriously believe he isn't the best shooter in the league?
