I don't deny that this kid has talent, but there is just something about him when I watch full games that I can't put my finger on. Basically, I'll have moments where I question where he's at from an IQ / feel / mental maturity standpoint.

Feels like a boom or bust pick, but I guess if we keep all 3 firsts, it might be worth a shot.

Here's my wishlist as of now if we decide to keep all three picks...

Our Pick: C - Justin Patton

• One of the only bigs in this draft with starter upside (Feel and IQ on both ends are advanced for a 19 year old)
• Will take a year or two to develop (still growing into his body)
• Has a chance to be both an elite finisher and also a pnp threat out to 3pt range
• Building up lower body strength is going to be big for him, currently struggles to hold his position on both ends
• Still learning to go hard for long stretches (needs to continue to get in better shape)
• Doesn't project to be elite defensively, but already guards the pnr at an advanced level and has the reach to be a solid rim protector
• Late growth spurt ala Towns and AD so he's still getting used to playing big. Tries to do a little too much at times as he does try and flash his guard skills. Still figuring out who he is as a player.

MEM Pick: Johnathan Motley, TJ Leaf or Bam Adebayo

• All three bring a different skill set to the table, but have great chances to be rotation level bigs
• Leaf is probably the least likely to play right away (Strength, defensive issues)
• Motley is the most likely (Best offensive scheme fit due to the ability to score and pass in short roll / ft line area situations)
• Bam probably is the worst fit amongst the 3 unless Vonleh is moved. Bam is a better version as a verastile big defender. Projects to be a much better finisher in both pnr and dunker spot situations (Quick and explosive leaper, and I think his jumper is underrated too).

CLE Pick: Josh Hart

• Might be the only ready to play SG in the draft (insurance if Crabbe is moved)
• Bulldog mentality, High IQ on-ball defender who has a chance to guard 1's and 2's (defensive fit with Dame & CJ)
• Not ideal SG size , but enough strength and competitiveness to hold position if switched onto bigger guys.
• Not very versatile offensively, but should hit spot 3's and shows flashes of a post game if teams try and hide their PG on him
• Could possibly grow into a Wesley Matthews type player if he continues to work on his game

I was trying to find names of players who were drafted outside of top 10 (as we won't have a top 10 pick likely), or even in late 20s in the recent years and went on to be sucessful. The list did not get very long in the end, there are unicorns like Thomas, Green and Butler there but truth is 80% of late first round picks never get any good.

I don't think there is a chance in hell we use 3 picks for us. We may draft those players, but I have to believe Olshey would either trade a couple in a package or send picks away on draft day

I don't know MM, we badly need an infusion of talent and our 10-15 roster spot bench guys just suck, I can easily see Pat C, Quarterman gone and guys Vonleh and Layman gone

Yeah, I just don't get that. 2nd rounders in all the mock drafts. Bell and Brooks are damn good, and they are Jr's. Way more experienced and mature than the freshmen. I LOVE how Boucher defends, and can shoot. I don't think he'll get far unless he can gain 30-40 lbs though... IMO- I think someone is gonna get a screaming deal on these guys...

Could do worse as a Euro-stash pick but I don't know that he uses his height well. Playing midgets mostly but his release seems low and slow.

Karnowski would beast on that skinny front line of Oregon.

They aren't more talented individually. Karnowski and Williams-Goss would both be starters at Oregon. Maybe even Perkins. Collins might be the best 6th man in the nation. Oregon's love affair with athletic 3 shooters has been going on about 15 years strong.

Karnowski is the difference maker. Not too many teams can throw the ball down low to a legit 7'1" 300lb guy with great post moves and can pass. He'll dominate the tournament.

Tommy Lloyd is the genius behind the recruiting overseas. I'm surprised he hasn't left for a head coaching gig. Watch for Rui Hachimura. A freshman from Japan. An NBA prospect for sure.

I think he'll go as far as his talent. The players he has now are the best he's ever had. He's so used to transfers that we're finally seeing what he's capable of with four year Top 100 prospects. If Pritchard develops as pure point guard and they develop a center in the next few years, I think they have a good chance. Right now they go as far as their shooting.
