I think the hope is that Simons and Collins are ready to make a jump. Our weak points last season were backup PG (Turner) and our wings (Harkless/Aminu). So the hope is that Simons can fill in for Turner/Curry and then you plug Hood and Bazmore in for Harkless. Just curious what we're going to do at power forward. Maybe they think Skal is ready to get minutes at PF?
KLove hasn't been traded yet.

If they play small do you think they run more? That seems like it could help them a bit.

I wish....

Utah is lookin pretty fuckin nice... the northwest division is gonna be a bloodbath

Jazz added Conley, Bogdanovic and Davis. They have DEFINITELY improved.

FWIW, I'm told there isn't likely to be a trade (yet) but rather a Chandler or Monroe sighting. That fits with what DJ has been tweeting. If it was between those two, which would you rather have?

I havne't watched either of them in so long..... I don'tk now.

So we will just sit around and wait for players to develop while other teams around us get better... Again?
When your paying your starting backcourt 60 mil, Baze 18 mil, Hark 10 mil, and Nards 10 mil not sure what the options are.

We've basically lost Turner, Curry, Aminu, and Kanter, and have added Little and Bazemore. Nurk will be out too.

Hard to make a case for us being better so far, that's for sure.
I don't really agree. Imagine we make it back to the WCF and we kept those guys:
Turner is a net negative, shouldn't play.
Curry is good only when his defender completely leaves him open.
Aminu is unplayable because the other team wouldn't guard him.
Kanter would only get backup C minutes.

We're also trading no-training-camp-don't-really-know-the-plays-Hood for a guy who will have a full Training camp and a full season.

We now have some good wing shooting, which has been our Achilles heel since Batum left.

In Little's 3rd year, you (and the rest of us) will be singing his praises, and forgetting all about Evan Turnover.

Collins is pretty much already a guy who can be trusted to start games, and Simons has so much hype and is only gonna get better with more court time. Sometimes you have to trust the young guys, who knows, they could be better than what we can imagine.

Favors’ last year of his contract is a team option I believe. Perhaps he gets traded or the team declines his option?
If so... I wish Favors would want revenge on the Jazz and sign with us for a year at the min out of shear pettiness lol

Tyson Chandler, Joakim Noah, or Greg Monroe if there is no possible way to retain Kanter.
