If true, ain't that a bitch......

Indeed. They were stupid enough to give him that fat ass contract to begin with. Now let me tag @GhostOfPGA because I forgot to reply to his post, but I remember there was a graphic showing the teams that were interested in him. How true is it remains to be seen, but the teams mentioned were intriguing.Funny thing is he wants out Houston and I bet Houston wants him out too.

I think his real struggle is old and broken down... He still will show glimpses of what he was but he's pretty small, and that quickness has gone and he's always getting hurt worse.Of those four teams, to me, the ones that make the most sense are the Suns and Heat. Both teams that could use a strong veteran influence. Both teams that don't have a guy already on the team who needs to dominate the ball to be effective ... which is why CP3 struggled to find his fit with the Rockets. He'd have the same problems in LA, and I believe Kemba is serious about staying in Charlotte, and CP3 and Kemba are redundant.
Only thing with the Heat is Winslow played so well for them at point. I don't know if he's a longterm point guard, but he and the team performed well enough there that I'm not sure I mess with it if I'm them.
Or BeverleyIf Lakers are looking for a point guard, best fit for them, IMO, is someone like George Hill.

I'd like him to go to LA so that he and Lebron could be old together, if I'm LAL I wouldn't even think about it with that contract...Chris Paul might still be good but i am not sure he can be the 1st or 2nd option anymore considering he is injury prone so as much as i hate to say it - -lakers might be the best fit for him

Get Melo too pls..I'd like him to go to LA so that he and Lebron could be old together, if I'm LAL I wouldn't even think about it with that contract...
Random thought. If we are able to retain Hood...
the Harkless/Aminu tandem starts-no-more. With a full training camp, I think Rodney starts.
Dame/CJ/Hood/Collins/Nurk (Biebs*)
Ant/ET**/Harkless/Aminu***
I actually am pretty excited by this.
*Until Nurk returns
**Cringe
***Yes, I think Aminu returns, and as a bench player, I think that's a good thing.
How would the Lakers even be able to make that work? I agree that would be best from a Portland perspective but I don't think it's even possible.I'd like him to go to LA so that he and Lebron could be old together, if I'm LAL I wouldn't even think about it with that contract...
I wasn't claiming it was possible, I was responding to the picture that had LAL as a team who wanted him. I have no idea if it is possible or not (looks like it's not). I was just saying if it happened I wouldn't mind it lol.How would the Lakers even be able to make that work? I just ran the numbers. It is impossible for the Lakers to trade for Paul this off season. They don't have enough contracts to make the trade work legally so they'd have to acquire Paul using mostly cap space.
LeBron, Davis, and Paul make a combined $103,036,358. This goes back to what I said about the Knicks and how stupid it was to stretch Noah. Instead of having a $15 million contract of Deng to include in trades to make this possible they stretched him and have a $5,000,000 hit against their cap that they can't remove. That makes their salary $108,036,358. The cap is projected to be $109 million.
Basically, any media member that says the Lakers are going after Paul is a moron.
I know man! I wasn't saying YOU were a moron, I was responding to that tweet and your post talking about the Lakers' interest.I wasn't claiming it was possible, I was responding to the picture that had LAL as a team who wanted him. Aren't he and Lebron part of the banana boat crew? I'm sure they'd be fine. You just summed up 2 of the 3 reasons I want him to go to LA. The 3rd is the hope (expectation) that he and LeBron would not get along and mess up team chemistry.

Oh I have no doubt the Lakers are in fact interested in Paul, lol. Who knows if they're smarter than some schmuck in Oregon who can easily see that they can't physically make it work though.Or thinks the Laker front office is populated with empty suits. Of course, this is a case where they could both be right!![]()
Wouldn't they start. Beverly, Matthews, Lebron, AD, and McGee?Honestly if I’m the Lakers, I say fuck another star. I’d sign Beverley, Matthews, Ariza, Jeff Green, Troy Daniels, and bring back McGee, Rondo, and Chandler.
Beverley/ Rondo / Bonga
Matthews / Daniels
LeBron / Ariza
Kuzma / Green
AD / McGee / Chandler / Wagner
No. They definitely would start Kuzma.Wouldn't they start. Beverly, Matthews, Lebron, AD, and McGee?
They dont have cap space to absorb him, and they dont have the salaries to trade for him. Its literally impossible. If Kyrie links with KD and Kemba stays in Charlotte, Butler goes to the Clippers... Paul to LA isn’t exactly crazy. Houston won’t like the return though.
I dont see how they achieve that with only $23M of space.Honestly if I’m the Lakers, I say fuck another star. I’d sign Beverley, Matthews, Ariza, Jeff Green, Troy Daniels, and bring back McGee, Rondo, and Chandler.
