You're worried about Mudiay, Jeff Green, and Ed Davis?
Not specificly about these 3 guys, but for sure about Conley and Bogdanovic. They improved their offense and their Defense and they already had a very good defense, Utah is scary next Season

If Portland had signed Mudiay and Green he would have been all over Olshey for signing shitty FAs. But since it's another team signing them they're "getting better and better"

The grass is always greener with this guy
Huh what? Green is a good vet, who can guard multiple positions, is athletic and can shot the 3? I wish we had him, And mudiay has shown flashes that he can be a good player in this league. Stop saying shit about me

I do hate Conley being on Utah, he has really been tough on us. I’m not too scared of that second unit however, not sure where the scoring will come from.

Cousin switches agents, guess he doesn’t believe there’s really no interest in him. Do we have history with Jeff Shwartz of excel sports?

Oh yeah, he reps Mccollum, Whiteside, Connaughton and Vonleh among some guys Neil drafted (Blake, Deandre)

I highly doubt Portland is interested though. There could be a conflict of interest there as well with Whiteside. He’s not going to take the minimum to be a backup imo.

Blake huh, it’s official Whiteside for BG at the deadline.

I think he's extremely overrated, and he doesn't solve the issue that they still don't have a true star player.

I could see that. Seems like a pretty obvious move if (when?) Detroit starts losing. Nurk should be back well before the deadline so they’ll have enough time to assess him.

Sorry but that is bullshit, Conley actually is ectremely underrated. He outplayed Dame several times, remember 2015 Playoffs? Dame has struggled many times against him

Even if they just deal for him as an expiring, I can't see the Pistons putting Whiteside alongside Drummond.

But it'd be fascinating to see it happen!

They could buy whiteside out. At that point he’d just be a contract.

Dear Neil,
Congratulations, you've really figured out this GM thing:

Pivoting from Parsons to ET: Bad.
Pivoting from Nerlens to Nurk: Good.
Pivoting from Kanter to Hood + Whiteside: Good.

Overpaying Biebs: Bad
Overpaying ET: Bad
Underpaying Nurk: Good

Sincerely,
S2

I'm not sure; somewhere else I also read it was more than the minimum. "Bell's deal was a minimum contract while Vonleh's is not, meaning it could eat into one of the two salary-cap exceptions the Wolves have (their midlevel and biannual exceptions)."

Vonleh is a 5 year veteran

the minimum salary for a 5 year vet is $1,882,867

http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q22

Vonleh's listed salary at Spotrac is $1,882,867

maybe spotrac is making a bad assumption but they almost always have their facts and numbers right

Things seem to have calmed down. Mostly spare parts last couple of days. I guess the NBA world is waiting on Kawhi.

Honestly, don't see appeal of him going to Lakers. LeBron is on downside of his great career, AD has been frequently injured and they are paper thin elsewhere. Sure, they will be on TV every day and get a shitload of free throws, but stay in Toronto he's a national hero, rest of the NBA will approve, media will love him, real shot at going back to at minimum conference finals. I can't see Lakers with 2 aging stars & Leonard being top 3 team in the West. Denver is better, Portland is better, Utah is better, Golden State will still be pretty decent if not tops. Clippers improved. Rockets will still be in the mix. And if he goes there he will be mercilessly booed everywhere, and deserve it.

But you specifically mentioned their depth. Utah's starting lineup is super scary, IF healthy, but the rest of their team is pretty bad (no offense Ed!).

And you chose Orlando.......?
Ok, please know from the get go that Im playing Devils Advocate a bit here.
Orlando’s been close a few times to winning a championship. Played in the finals with Shaq and DHoward. They’re a mostly young team thats trending up. Aminu will get minutes there, the position he plays is crowded in Orlando, but he’s got playoff experience he’ll be a valued piece for them. They’re the sacremento of the East. A team thats always kind of on the back burner but once in a while sneaks up.
Vucevic is a solid player, theyve got a lot of solid players and will probably be a playoff team again.
If they offered him the most, then I can see why he’d go there and I can see why they’d want him too.

I love that the guy that turned us down for a horrid contract three years ago (Chandler Parsons) that lead to someone else signing that horrid contract (Evan Turner) are currently on the same team (Atlanta Hawks) as salary dumps.
Along with the other guy whose horrid contract we subsequently matched (Allen Crabbe).

Vonleh reminds me of JJ Hickson, seems like even though he can be productive no team really wants to keep him around.

He was reported to be getting $2 million, so if that was true , it would be over the minimum, not that I care one way or the other :) I did notice something at Spotrac though; they list Rodney Hood's base salary as $7.8 million. and if I remember Woj first reported it at $8 million. We know he is getting the lower MLE though, so what gives?
