POR Gets: Danilo Gallinari
OKC Gets: Miles Plumlee, 2020 POR 1st
MEM Gets: Ian Mahinmi, Future POR 2nds
WAS Gets: Kent Bazemore

Blake is worth his. Gallo is not.

Gallo May be overpaid for his production next year. I’d say he’s not worth 22M for his on court play.

But as an expiring, it hardly matters if he’s slightly overpaid.

Whoa, you'd give up Bazemore, a 1st, and multiple 2nds for Gallo?
Most of the time I give Portland the better part of the deal. The 2nds could be from WAS or OKC then. Would you not do Bazemore and a 1st for Gallo?

I want to use those picks in a trade for a better player than Gallo. The Blazers need to think big picture. Go for the best player in the entire league not playing point guard that we could get. We have expiring contracts, two good centers, a shooting guard that could be an all star in the right setting, and more.
Maybe there’s a remarkable player like Karl Anthony Townes on an underperforming team where a trade would make both sides better. I hope this is Neil Olshey’s mindset.

Understandable. Frontcourt depth has me worried though.

Well you need to realize that not everyone is going to read every single thing you post.

And you're trippin if you wouldnt do that.

I like him but Gallo hasn't played in more than 68 games since 2012....and I don't see him playing in more games the older he gets either :(

Read all my posts damn it!!!!! LOL

I just think Bazemore is a better fit on both sides of the ball. Against the Clippers we're gonna need all the wing help we can get. Gallo had a great shooting year last year and would definitely help our offense but he's an awful rebounder for a PF and has lost most of his mobility on defense because of injuries.

I'm hoping something better later in the season presents itself than Gallo right now. Plus I like that Olshey is making upgrade moves that aren't costing us assets. Of course I recognize that I value draft picks more than most do.

They have all the pieces to go after someone like Brad Beal AND Kevin Love.

A lineup of :

Westbrook
Beal
Roberson
Love
Adams

is damn good. Depends on if they want to truly blow it all up.

Beal is good. But that roster is significantly worse than what OKC had a week ago so I don't see the point.

I wouldn't, because of his poor D I don't think Gallo can be a core starter with DameCJ. Now maybe his offense makes him better overall than Bazemore, but one year of that upgrade is not worth a first round pick.
