I don’t think it clears enough money to give Kanter the difference between the max exception and the taxpayer exception that we gave Hood (so we would be able to offer Kanter like $3.5mil??). I know Kanter is a good person, but I don’t expect him to sign for that when he’ll likely be offered $8-10mil or so per season.

Blazers have about 136M in guaranteed money....27M over the salary cap. They'd need to shed 35M to make a sizable offer to Kanter. Ain't happening by trade
