Hey Vegas boys, I’m back down here in Vegas again working. Who was it who said they were buying me a fancy dinner?

Some rumors are falae. Apparently we wanted to trade Nurkic for Marc Gasol and DeAndre Jordan.

Yeah ok, but also they were never gonna say "We want to trade Reggie". It's always the rumors you can follow. He underperformed and gets paid a lot so I suppose it's normal to believe they do wanted to trade him.

How does a high lotto pick help us in the next 2 years.....if all we do is lose CJ in the process?
CJ made a jump from like 6 ppg to 18 or whatever ppg, winning most improved in the process. I think Ant can make a similar jump, if given the minutes. Trading for a high lotto pick would give him those minutes.

Yeah but at the loss of some great depth. If we were not in a win now mode I could maybe understand that reasoning, but right now trading CJ for a lotto pick does not even guarantee it will be a that high of a pick. (or technically even in the lottery if the trade is to a team in the East) We would be trading him for the future. I am sure Dame would love that.

Now next May, after the Lotto drawings occur, and we have seen Ant for a whole year, then that may be a whole different discussion. I just would not even consider draft picks at this stage, who won't help the team for another two years.

I think the big difference is CJ did that going from year 2 to year 3, and he saw 16 minutes a night in year 2. He also did it when he was 24. It's not an apples to apples jump to expect.

You were supposed to hook me up while I was down there but you didn't. You are dead to me now.
Still waiting on that text FAMS!
Back down here now for the Manny Pacquiao fight! I’m tired of this city! Too hot bro!

I think Ant could make a big jump too. I don't understand why we would trade a proven primary ball handler / versatile scorer for a draft pick.
The Trail Blazer roster needs more talent. We do not have a 6'6"-6'11" player who is an all-nba / all star candidate. That is a huge missing piece (to me).

Repeater Tax is insane.

The Ray Felton dig is icing on the cupcake.

Portland trades:

• Andre Miller
• Rudy Fernandez
• rights to Petteri Koponen
• 2013 second round pick (protected top 40 in 2013, unprotected in 2014) (#56-Roy Devyn Marble / Roy Marble (Devyn))

Portland receives:

• Raymond Felton
• rights to Tanguy Ngombo

not Chad Buchanan's best day

Man, I loved Andre Miller....replacing that part of my heart with the deep hatred I developed for Felton probably took 10 years off my life, made me drink more, lose my hair, eat cupcakes, contributed to me getting divorced, and generally forced me to become a force of evil in this world.

This is despicable but can honestly think that this fanbase would have done the same if we traded Dame.

It's only really threats by one person, not multiple separate threats, not a big deal.

Seriously, the typical OKC fan probably has little clue about the salary cap, or the value of all of the draft picks they gained. They only know they're not going to the playoffs for a while.

Considering how much movement early, it's been all quiet on the Western front and eastern as well. Are we all set or is there a BFD in the works behind the scenes?
