Hickson can be beastly on the offense sometimes but his D is soooooooo bad that its almost a negative to have him on the court.

That's the thing though, LMA's defense isn't much better - if any.

Great strength on that finish by Lillard

Is there anything to back that up, or is it just something that gets repeated so often that it's an urban legend?

"Synergy rated him among the league's top power forwards last season, and the Blazers gave up 7.8 fewer points per 100 possessions with him on the court." Hollinger scouting report via ESPN.

Leonard's lack of feel for the game is concerning.

He has NONE right now.

3 air balls tonight by the Blazers. Nic, Wes and Dame.

That doesn't say anything about his defense, but rather the defense of the players he plays with. If you just watch the game you'll see that he's abysmal when it comes to help defense - he is literally unable or unwilling to slide away from his man to protect the rim. And he always commits touch-fouls resulting in and-ones, rather than laying hard fouls and sending someone to the line for two shots with a sore wrist. There is no evidence that will support the idea that LMA is a good help defender.
