ESPN3 is playing "2013 NBA Summer League (Playoffs - Round 1)" at 5:30 PM tomorrow, so hopefully that's us!

Must be. Are we really ranked #19 out if 20 teams?

No, there are 22 seeded teams. So we are 19 of 22.

Hawks are the 14th seed. So we have a shot tomorrow evening.

Hawks:
Atlanta Hawks

Dennis Schroeder: Three years ago, Schroeder lost his father to heart failure. Before he died, the German guard promised his dad that he would someday make it to the NBA to help support the family. It’s hard not to root for the electric young point guard to succeed.

John Jenkins: After a pretty solid rookie season in which he shot 38 percent from behind the arc, Jenkins will need to work on his pump-and-go game to become a well-rounded scorer. His nickname, Johnny Cash, might be the best at summer league.

Mike Muscala: There’s nothing that the four-year center from Bucknell does poorly on the court, but he doesn’t do anything great either. Jack-of-all-trades types usually have trouble filling roles, but Muscala is a consistent outside jumper away from being a solid stretch big man.

SEEDINGS ANNOUNCED FOR INAUGURAL 2013 NBA SUMMER LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
– Championship Round Tips off July 17 –

LAS VEGAS, July 16, 2013 – The inaugural NBA Summer League Championship, the second phase of NBA Summer League 2013 in Las Vegas, tips off Wednesday, July 17, at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. The Golden State Warriors earned the first overall seed while the Chicago Bulls are the second seed. The Phoenix Suns, NBA D-League Select Team and Charlotte Bobcats round out the top five seeds.

Tournament action gets under way when the 11th seeded New Orleans Pelicans take on the 22nd seeded Denver Nuggets at 3 p.m. PT at the COX Pavilion and continues with five additional games featuring the other teams seeded 11-22. Thursday’s slate tips off at 1 p.m. PT when the 7th seeded Cleveland Cavaliers take on the 10th seeded San Antonio Spurs. The eight game schedule on Thursday concludes when the top-seeded Warriors take on either the 16th seeded Dallas Mavericks or 17th seeded Los Angeles Clippers at 7:30 p.m. PT at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The participating 22 teams have each completed three games since the summer classic tipped off on July 12. Based on the outcome of those games, the teams are seeded 1-22 for the single elimination tournament that culminates in a championship game on July 22. Each team will compete in at least two more contests; a minimum of one game in the single elimination tournament, and the other in a consolation game if the team loses a game on either July 17 or July 18.

Teams seeded 11-22 will compete on Wednesday, with the winners of those contests advancing in the tournament to play Thursday against teams seeded 1-10, who earned a first-round “bye.” Teams on losing Wednesday and Thursday will play on Friday. The single elimination tournament resumes on Saturday with a champion being crowned on July 22.

Seeding for the tournament was determined by won-loss records. Ties were broken using quarter-points and then point differential to determine the seedings.

NBA TV’s comprehensive coverage of NBA Summer League 2013 continues live from both the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion including the championship game. Once again, all NBA Summer League games will be available via NBA Summer League Live on NBA.com and NBA Mobile. NBA Summer League Live is a subscription service offering fans a full slate of live and archived games available on the web, App Store and Google Play.

It's single elimination.
Really? I might have misunderstood then. I figured two guaranteed games meant double elimination. OOps!

Here's what BEdge said:
The Blazers will play Wednesday at 5:30 PM PT against the Atlanta Hawks, as the Summer League shifts into its new tournament format. If they win, they will get a rematch with the Phoenix Suns at 5 PM PT on Thursday with a chance to move into the quarterfinals on Saturday. If they lose, they will conclude their Summer League on Friday at 7:30 PM PT.

If we lose, we're out of the tournament, but still get to play one more consolation game, so we get five summer league games in Vegas.

I don't think in that game they'll even bother to keep score. The good news is, however, is that after the game all the players are being taken out by the parents for sno-cones.

5 games no matter what FAMS!

If we lose we might as well try to get CJ the MVP just have him run down and shoot every possession. He should get at least 50.

I want to see McCollum play the whole game at SG to see how he can guard the 2's. Guarding Jenkins would be a good test for him.

My gut feeling, FWIW: They won't give MVP to a guy on a team that loses in the first round. CJ needs to have another 25+ point game, but this time it needs to be more efficient - and we need to win.

We just need to play like we did the second half of the last game. If they continue playing like that in this game then we are going to win and advance.

Is this on Espn3?

Huh? McCollum has been about the 30th best player out of 22 teams. He is no Lillard.

So Summer League is like Special Olympics, everyone gets to play two games and a trophy.

He's the high ranked LVSL player on the rookie ladder which mirrors the feelings of the media. I agree that my opinion is irrelevant as I don't vote, but you do not vote either, so your opinion is equally inconsequential. He's highly touted.

Yes, he was highly-touted before he disappointed in SL. His tout has a downward arrow until he does good things in preseason games.

When will NBA-TV show our game? 2 am?

Oh god.... Isiah Thomas...... he's the worst color man in the game.

Those jersey shirts aren't half bad

I hate this broadcast angle. Hopefully they change it to the more traditional-looking one
