Dude... Oden was DOMINANT tonight. The Warriors could not stop him.

How on Earth could you blame this loss at all on Oden?

Roy shot 6-17. Blake shot 2-9. Miller had seven turnovers. Aldridge only played 27 minutes.

Those things aren't Oden's fault.

Ed O.

6 rebounds (only a measly 3 on the defensive end of the court) against a Warriors team with no Turiaf or Biedrins is NOT dominant.

Andre Miller was horrid, but god dammit, at least he only played 18 minutes. Steve Blake played 36 godawful minutes that were mostly spent bricking wide open jumpshots.

excuses, excuses; he was right there under the hoop and little guys were outhustling him for the ball

in 2007, we defied the odds and won the #1 pick and we jumped for joy; Oden has severaly underwhelmed but because people can't bear to hate on Oden and admit that, they hate EVERYONE else: Blake, the refs, Nate, David Stern, Roy, etc. The hate is severely displaced; it's amazing

I used to assume you were just a borderline crazy fan, now I know you're nothing but a simple troll. You're doing awesome by the way, you've once again completely fouled a game thread and gotten everyone to bite (admittedly myself included).

Have a nice night watching reruns of Bones, reliving the glory days.

Blake grabbed as many defensive rebounds as the "dominant" Oden. Does that make Blake dominant too?

It's amazing that Miller got paid 7 million dollars for 18 minutes of work.

He got paid 7 million for 18 minutes? God damn, tell me where I can get that gig!

You can't stand someone having a different outlook than you so you resort to personal attacks. Nice.

:biglaugh: ouch

athletes like Outlaw, everyone's favorite player to hate?

No athletes that get to the free throw line and play defense. That's about as far from Travis as you can get. Travis launching low percentage jumpers against the Warriors would have made this a 30 point loss.

Agreed. Ignoring him doesn't even work because everyone quotes him.

I have not read this thread because I am working, but I have the biggest smile on my face thinking of all the people on here going fucking nuts! Step away from the ledge! There is about to be a press release that the Blazers are canceling the rest of the season.

Whatever. It's a bad loss. The Warriors 3 wins before tonight = Grizzlies, Knicks, T-Wolves. They played 3 guys the hole game w/o a rest until it was in the bag. They lost to a bad team tonight. An underhanded, bad team. And they got blown out.

Denver was losing by almost 20 tonight. But because they scrap, fight, claw, and refuse to quit, and are mentally tough they are back in the game. And when they needed there star, Carmello stepped up. Where the hell is Brandon Roy? The REAL Brandon Roy. He's been held to 20 or less in 8 of the last 10 games. That didn't happen at any point last season. He hasn't scored 30 or more since Halloween. It's not his fault, but sometimes you just need your guy to step up when the team in struggling. Didn't happen in Atlanta, and it didn't happen tonight. And if Brandon was playing like the Brandon of old, imagine what Oden & Lamarcus could have done tonight against that pathetic, piss poor Golden State Front Line.

Why is that you never respond to people who defeat you in arguments? For example, the Travis Outlaw PER one.

Outlaw would've done a better job than Juwan and you know it.

Portland played really bad for 3 quarters tonight. I guess they learned their lesson. Instead of playing 36 minutes, they played 12. However, you can't ignore the officiating either. Once again, we were jipped by the refs in GS. There were some flat out ridiculous calls.

Calling Roy's and 1 on the floor, not giving the clear path call to Rudy. Roy and Oden were mugged several times, no call. It was bad enough, that if we had lost by 8 or less, you could blame it right on the refs.

Ugg...what a piece of shit game, it's not even worth analyzing.

You're trolling. Dumbass.

Huh? Travis Outlaw had the second best PER on the team. It was posted by another person on this forum. That's a fact. Where was it defeated?

Okay so you don't understand the concept of zone defense and how it alters rebounding. Thank you for admitting you don't understand another concept of basketball. This explains a lot.

Look up the freaking PER numbers for yourself. Nic did it earlier.

Blake is shorter, so he's therefore less dominant.

Height is just as relevant as a single factor as rebounding... right?

Ignore that he scored almost every time he touched the ball and that he drew about a half dozen fouls. He "only" got six rebounds in 24 minutes. So we should ignore the reality of the rest of the time he was on the floor.

But he IS taller, remember.

Ed O.

After the second or third game of the season and then after that it was a precipitous drop into averageness.

I can tell you guys one thing.......... this is not gonna be a fun flight home! Adios!

I put this one flat on the coaches. I know some players played badly, but they were put in a worse postion by Nate choosing to match up with Nellie and go small. Nate played right into Nelsons hands, and now my worst fear is realized. Nate is a matchup reacting coach. I had been in denial for a couple of years, thinking he only did it some of the time, but more and more lately I have realized he is a match up coach, he is matching up what the other coach does, instead of playing to his strengths, and forcing the other coach to adjust to what he does. Matchup coaches get owned in the NBA. Just like tonight.

excuses, excuses; blame everyone and everything but Oden himself

He's been doing this for awhile, but unfortunately (or fortunately?) it's really only exposed to the point of embarrassment by Nellie.

I was horrified when he conceded the creating of mismatches to Jay Triano last December before the game even started.

You know, Jay Triano who had been coaching the Raptors for ten games.
