The reaction was pretty inappropriate though... he could have attempted to make some sense.

True enough. LaScrewus Alldridge did overreact, but I suppose he felt like we were purposefully ignoring him, as his claims about being misquoted were not answered by anyone, since none of us had a clue to what he was talking about. The conversation in this thread continued without addressing his concerns. And that's when he lashed out. He should've pinpointed the area of his concern and that could've de-escalated the situation.

@BobbyMarks42: SAS: TD would have to come in around $6m. Renounce Manu and sign for Room ML, Waive Reggie Williams. That will get you to $18.8m

@BobbyMarks42: PHX: Would need to trade Mk. Morris and PJ Tucker to get to that $18.8m slot for Aldridge. Alex Len would be close but not sure you move him

@BobbyMarks42: So here is your LaMarcus Aldridge cheat sheet going into Day 4 of FA:
POR: Full Bird Rights. Can sign up to the max salary. 5yrs and most

We kind of do have an advantage of it makes any of you feel a bit better. Good breakdown.

We know we have the financial advantage. Surprisingly money isn't always everything.

I wonder if that's the reason LMA is hesitating about signing with the Spurs, dragging this out a bit. Maybe San Antonio is asking him to take a small pay cut, saying that Duncan is taking a huge pay cut for the good of the team and so should he. LMA knows he's already taking a pay cut to not re-sign with us, so that's like a double discount.

Bahhh! Who knows.

Oh shit would that be the rabbit NO pulls out of the hat? An offer to Marc?
I would be like

Jesus I forgot Gasol existed in the past few days honestly. Brb beer store.

Lol if Gasol was truly available he should've been everyone's main target, not LA. Especially San Antonio's.

It shows the cap side of it all. Portland is in pretty good shape if they sign him. Just showing you that it's more practical that he signs with Portland looking at it from this angle.

It was plan all along! No one noticed NO in Memphis because they were too busy blowing lamarcus

How things have changed. July 8, 2014 -
LaMarcus Aldridge pledges to sign contract extension with Trail Blazers next summer, says he wants to be 'the best Blazer ever'

"I'm happy to stay, happy to be here, happy with the direction the team has gone the last year or two,"

"I want to be the best Blazer — ever," Aldridge said. "If I stay the rest of my career, I should be able to catch Clyde by then. I should be able to leave a mark on a big-time franchise that is going to be seen forever. And I will be able to say I played here my whole career. This city has embraced me and grown with me. I have so much history, it just makes sense to stay."

C'mon, that was almost a year ago. Stop dredging up ancient history.

Are you happy with the direction the team is going in? Do you think the team is closer to a title? Even if LMA stays?

LMA has been pretty clear, he doesn't want to go thru another rebuild. Seems like we're rebuilding to me.

But it wouldn't have been a rebuild if he had committed. We would have kept RoLo, Nico and perhaps even Wes and Afflalo. CJ and Meyers will be better this year than last. We would have beefed up our bench.

Maybe you're right? I don't know, I keep thinking his intention was to resign right up until the wheels fell off after Wesley's injury.
