As for Olshey, even if LMA leaves I don't see ow we can pin that all on him. We don't know that if Aldridge has told him he is going, so as far as I'm concerned until proven otherwise we take him at his word. I'm sure he is trying to convince LMA to stay, but the final decision is all on LMA, he holds the cards.

If LMA leaves for nothing it will be disappointing. But you can't really begrudge him for leaving for SA can you? If he honestly believes that's his best chance at a ring, you can't begrudge a guy for having a crack at a career goal.

As a Lakers fan, this off-season has been another disappointment. But I laugh at the people upset with San Antonio because players are willing to take paycuts to play there.

I applaud San Antonio. They've created a legacy of winning there and players are willing to sacrifice to join it. Just because you're potentially losing your star PF to them doesn't make them evil. Criticize the players taking pay cuts to go there, not the well run championship organization.

One last pitch/tell us his decision. I think LaMarcus has enough respect to at least let us know first. Although I can't see LaMarcus looking into Neil's and Paul's eyes and telling them he's leaving, he would probably just call.

Idk man just let it done already.

If this is true, then why would we want Aldridge? Dame getting the attention is because Dame earned it. If he is butt hurt, then it shows he doesn't have the mental capacity to lead the club anyway.
 
@Probballdraft: Going into Free Agency there were rumblings LaMarcus Aldridge might prefer a team he could go to that could be his own. Suns would be that.
 
I thought I read a tweet that Aldridge will meet with Portland last? Did I assume or is this true?

Yes. CBS sports had an article mentioning it. It will happen last after the NY and TOR meetings today.

We will find out today.

If we sign&trade Lamarcus for Monroe i think it would be ideal. Aldridge with Drummond would be awesome for them.
 
You know I'm a pretty positive guy about stuff. I'm going to maintain hope until it's actually announced. If Lamarcus truly decided so long ago as before the season ended as is being speculated... good riddance. He has earned his money and done his time and earned the right to leave. Ultimately I want players who want to be here. I firmly believe Olshey has spent the last 2 years doing everything possible to make Lamarcus feel wanted, to structure the team in the ways Lamarcus wanted. I feel like this season we forced the ball to Lamarcus more than we should have The organization has been kissing his ass for 2-3 years, the fans have too... yet he is butt hurt about his time here? Sorry Lamarcus we gave you everything, Portland is not the place for Prima Donnas. Enjoy the boo birds when you come back to play, because you will be booed louder than any other player in the league.

I thought Aldridge was about records, saying he was going to pass Clyde and shit? It's weird to me that he would leave this organization, knowing if he leaves, his number will not be hanging in the rafters and name be in almost every record book.
 
If LaMarcus had been the rookie of the year, made the all star team twice in his first 3 years, broke rookie 3 point records and had other records/averages that hadn't been done in decades (or only by superstars), then maybe he would have a point.

No you did not, but someone else (whose name starts with a d) basically made a thread and called the forum a "bunch of bitches" more or less. SO, when you posted what you did to the new guy, it just made me laugh a bit considering the hypocrisy of it.

I honestly don't care about it. Just flicking you shit. But IMHO you should keep consistent with the enforcement :)

If LaMarcus were to go to SA, some say they are more okay with that because Duncan is his hero, he is from Texas, he's going to win a championship etc. But if he needs to be surrounded by Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Leonard, Green, Diaw and Pop to win a title, how good is he? I get that he is good but it's almost like LeBron going to Miami with Bosh and Wade. You BETTER damn well win a title...and James came one freaky/lucky rebound away from just gettin 1 ring out of his time there with all that talent.

I'm really not that broke about LMA the player leaving.

But the way he left leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Marc Gasol didn't even entertain any other offers but LMA gives the fucking Raptors a meeting??

The Raptors, seriously. Spit in our face more LMA.

I won't boo the guy for making a business decision, but I'm not cheering him for his triumphant return to the rose garden either.
 
Been saying that for a while now. Taking 7 meetings, and leaving money on the table is disgraceful.

The guy has 0 class. As I said earlier, I tip my cap to him for playing hurt and postponing surgery, but outside of that, GTFO.

Also, the West Coast of the US, where Portland is located, has a 9h time difference from France.
