Duncan is THE Legacy there and going forward it's Leonard. He already has a Finals MVP under his belt and I can't see LA every getting one of those....he's just not that type of player.
Well that and he can't even wear #12

I just dont get why these other teams have their star players at the meeting with potiential free agents and we don't. Can PDX really not attract free agents or is their policy on how to recruit them wrong?

Aldridge almost HAS to win a title next year with the Spurs or that ship sails. Then it is him, Leonard and Danny Green....yippee!! Phoenix, not even sure what they really have outside of a good, ageing defensive center who has a couple good years left and a young lotto center that hasn't done anything. Add to that Bledsoe who has bad knees already. I like what Hornacek has done with the team but they were much better before Dragic left.

If he really wants to win going forward and have his own legacy, it's in Portland even as young as they are. It is a roster full of lottery picks and the best PG at this time of any of the three options.

I think you're nitpicking. This really only happens with high profile FAs. The only other high profile FA really was Monroe (that the Blazers were after), and it's not like LMA could be there could he? And Lillard was still in Paris. Though I guess Dirk showed up for DJ so maybe Dame could have cut being drawn like a french girl short.

This is why a part of me thinks this is sooooo fishy. It's like they really don't care. The thing with Lillard was more Lillard squashing shit with Aldridge. Maybe about the local rumors? I really don't know wtf is going on

UHHHHHHHH yeah he could have been, both could have been there, LMA just needed to commit to the blazers.

And this didn't come up in the first meeting? They had how much time to plan their pitch before meeting #1 & yet it somehow didn't dawn on them until the 2nd meeting to layout their vision for his role in SA? We're talking about the Spurs here, not the Lakers. I don't buy it. Hope I don't have to hear the words ESPN Source for a while when this is over.

The first meeting took place before the free agent period started so all they could talk about was Pop's winery and the awkward things Paul Allen says.

I like Jabari young for the fact that he is more realistic and isn't super bias towards Portland like most who have filled that job but does shit like this annoy you like it does me? I feel like his head is still with the Spurs and he forgets he is with Portland now.

I like him too.

I don't understand why he took the Blazer beat job when his heart is clearly in SA. I know money but still...

Aldridge already knows the blazers and what they're about. The only guy that needs to be there is Olshey so he can convince LA he will build a good team around him. The thing is, he already did once, so there's no reason for LA to not believe in him. Olshey can't control injuries.

I am just at the point I want a decisions so I know what to expect next year.

Here's the thing with the spurs:

Parker is washed up

Ginobili is half retired

Duncan has a year left. Two max.

Pop will probably retire when Duncan does.

Kawhi is pretty much all they got going forward.

Tired of this. These under appreciation rumors are bullshit. Nobody under appreciated him here. At all.
