He cares about his legacy - he wants to go to G.S. and win championships on Curry's coattails. That takes precedent over "home" (Texas/DC), weather (LA/Florida), or any other consideration (PDX).

If we were the best team in the league, he'd want to come here. We're not, he won't. Again, if we had Boogie along with Dame/CJ/Capspace, then he would at least consider us.

If the talk about Durant wanting to go to Golden State is true (and they will be able to sign him if they want to) then don't get it twisted. The Blazers have zero shot - not because we skipped him for Oden, but because we're not good enough.

Absolutely a big if. But what I'm saying is if we were in that position, I highly doubt he would go somewhere else in spite just because of the draft. That's just ludicrous thinking.

Probably not a huge factor after 7 years. Depends on the guy.
 
Durant may just be getting tired of smelling the stockyards in OKC everytime he gets out of his car....it's not like he's won a ring there
 
What's even more ludicrous is thinking we have any shot in Hell of signing Durant.
 
Durant wont even answer our call let alone consider us lol

We cant even resign our main guy how the hell are we going to get Durant. Lets stick to the tier 2 players in free agency. Thats the only shots we have

Sorry, didnt mean it as an insult and I see I wasnt very clear. I meant disgruntled selves regarding the Blazers. Not your personal life. :)

But history is just that. History. Anything can change and eventually EVERYTHING does in this world. So why not try tp be positive to initiate that change?

No worries.

I'm an accountant. History is something that I rely on very much. I'm probably the least creative person you would ever meet, so I can't envision anything that is fantasyland or pie in the sky. Just not my bag, baby

Excited to see the rising stars tonight. It's probably the lesser of the events for me, but it's still basketball being played by the best in the world.

Very true but at the same time Durant is very much a businessman and a professional. To say he wouldn't even answer our call is a bit of an exaggeration. Whether he would give legitimate consideration to playing here is a different question. Orion may have been looking more at that statement than yours.

Nope. Schools act like you're a failure if you don't start out at a big 4. I graduated in 09, when the economy kind of sucked. So I got a job with a smaller tax firm preparing 1040's, 1120's, 1120s's, 1065's, bookkeeping and payroll. Actually planning on starting my own prep business in the next year or two

Accounting market in Portland isn't the greatest though, from what I can tell. I do wish it was but if you can make it, more power to you!
