Combs, we don't agree. I saw The Hills Have Eyes 2 yesterday, terrible. Monster movies in caves just don't work, it was like Chainsaw Massacre: The Begining - bad....the movie was boring, the dialogue was terrible, it was slow, it was just BAD....at least the first one was interesting and you were rooting for that whimpy guy to kill them....in this one they were just mindlessly roaming around for what seemed to be hours. The Hills Have Eyes - D

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

I am a scary movie junkie, I love pretty much 95% of them. And seriously, I dunno what it is but the majority of the time I always like the sequels better then the first one.Blair Witch 2, Urban Legends 2, Hills have Eyes 2, Halloween 2, ETC ETC. Probably because you don't spend as much time setting up the story...and sequals are different.I could care less about things like dialouge, acting and believability in scary movies. Scary movies get a free pass on all that kind of stuff. I want to be grossed out. I want my girlfriend to be scared. I want some sick ass death scenes. And I want the Villains to be bad asses. I haven't seen the second chainsaw massacre yet..even though I loved the first one. I'm not a big fan of pre-quals.

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

I saw Wild Hogs today. I didn't have time to look at the movies, and when we got there that was basically the only decent choice....It was pretty bad...The acting wasn't there from anyone except maybe William H. Macy as the geek guy. There were a few laughs here and there, but then it got boring, and alot of it was just stupid. I reccomend you guys don't see this movie, and if you do - don't f*cking buy it, please....

I saw Tenacious D yesterday...Parts of it were kind of funny, but the rest was just stupid and un-entertaining. I thought it was a pretty dumb movie....too many stupid songs..

I agree some of the gags missed but some caught me off guard like the one involving the button at the museum. I can't believe they did that.I rented Children of Men today, BCB told me a little about it on aim. I thought it was a well done film in terms of look. Had a sense of realism with the scenes during the Uprising, the brief car chase and pregnancy scene. As for the tagline calling it our generation's Blade Runner. Makes no sense, don't even involve any real similarities besides taking place in the future. The ending was bleak imo.

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

Last night I watched the movie "Man on Fire" with Denzel Washington What a kickass movie, Creasy just went through one by one picking them off, it was entertaining, Dakota Fanning was darling. Ending was sad. Underrated movie. Man on Fire - A

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

I went and saw Reign Over Me today, and I think it was a great movie. Don Cheadle is an excellent actor, and extremely underrated, and it was great seeing Adam Sandler do well in a role like this. We're used to seeing him act goofy and make us laugh, but he played a very unique role in this movie, and I think he did a great job.

I highly recommend Reign Over Me.

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

I saw Blades of Glory. Some the parts are just hilarious, typical Will Ferrell, Heder was funny in his role too playing the whimp. It's solid. - Blades of Glory - B

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

I just got done with the Bicycle TheivesIts a complete classic, and has a awesome mixture of humor, depression and love. If anybody here likes older movies...you have to see this.I would give it a 9.5 outve 10.

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

Goodfellas - 9.5/10 great movie IMO, great acting, good ending.Blades of Glory - 8.5/10 really funny, Heder was ok, Pam from the office did good, and of course Will Ferrell was hilarious.

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

I saw Drumline - Nick Carter should stick to acting, good movie.

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

Babel is probably the stupidest movie I've seen since Apocalypse Now a few months ago. My lord, an hour and a half into it all that happened was an Arab kid shot a tourist from a rocky hill....seriously I was dying of boredom....the damn thing was over 2 hours long and the only thing that happened was a tourist getting shot and a mexican nanny losing her two kids in the desert....and they follow that slutty Japanese mute for an hour of the movie and nothing happens with her other than her dad getting questioned about a gun he sold....I mean come on....not to mention at the ending your like...'that was f*cking it, give me a break'. And they make a big deal with Brat Pitt staring in it, but he's only shown 1/10th the time and the whole time he's sitting with his bitchy wife on the ground... Babel - D

Re: The Official: 'Saw this movie, this is what I think' thread

Saw Grindhouse today, nice crowd that surprized me. I hear it's only expected to make 13 million total. The crowd definately helps the movie experience though. We had some applause at the end of the movie. This was a great movie experience, I liked both movies but if I had to choose, Planet Terror probably tops Death Proof. Just because Death Proof killed the crowd with it's dialogue. Not much the 1st half of girls but the 2nd half with his Resevoir Dogs-like setting. Death Proof does pay off with the ending car chase and unexpected ending.<span style="color:#000000">Take the bathroom break during the diner scene. Also, Death Proof is more in vain with the old Grindhouse flicks, whereas Planet Terror is too over the top with the CGI.</span>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rok @ Apr 7 2007, 04:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>What was so bad about Apocalypse Now?</div> How completely boring it was....they go on a boat, find the place where the guy is....they get on the island and 35 minutes later Sheen sneeks up and kills the guy....movie ends....I was really dissapointed in it.
