Anyone else planning on seeing this over the weekend? I've actually got tickets to the midnight opening of it tonight and I'm excited. I think this one will be the best of the series thus far, edging out Spidey 2. Ha, I've actually had the tickets for the movie since Monday if that shows you just how much I want to see this. Anyways, I'll drop my review in once I get home from seeing it.

Also, anyone else getting the game? I've got mine on reserve for the 360 and I can't wait to get a hold of it. It comes out tomorrow and I'm likely to get it either before or after work depending on when I go it. I'm hoping they improve off of Spidey 2, cause I loved that game when it came out. I was a huge fan of Ultimate Spiderman though for some reason. Anyways, with a city over two times bigger than the previous ones, more mission variation, black suit Spidey, etc., I have a feeling that the game is going to be awesome.

Got my tickets on Saturday. If it wasn't for me working tomorrow morning at 5 in the morning, I'd be going to the midnight premier. So, I'm going tomorrow night. I'm so stoked. Words can't express how excited I am.

I'm picking up the game tomorrow from Best Buy. I've got a 10 dollar off price match, 10 dollars in reward zone certificates and then Best Buy's running a promotion where you get $10 free in movie concession cash (popcorn, etc). So basically...the game for me is $30 off. I won't be playing it until after I see the movie though.

I plan on going tonight, but my friend that works at the movie tavern already saw it in a pre-preshowing or something.

He said it was not as good as he thought it would be. That they changed it, some parts were lame.

I'll have to see what he was talking about, because I didn't want him to spoil the movie. I've avoided all those damn commercials already.

Just got back from the midnight opening, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. This was, by far, the best of the three movies thus far. Words cannot describe how good I think this movie is. Venom looked awesome and Sandman looked equally sweet. I'm definitely going to be seeing this movie again here in the very near future. Damn, now I can't wait to get the game tomorrow afternoon once I get off work. Ugh....and I have to be there in a matter of six hours....

I`ll see next weekend most likely. I wanna pick up the game after seeing the movie. Spiderman for Xbox was sick, Spiderman 2 was really good and you had more freedom, but the graphics were horrible. Spidey 3 on the 360 is going to be insane.

As for the movie, I keep hearing and seeing so-so reviews. Some say it was the best one, others say the use of 3 villians made the movie hard to lock onto. Nonetheless, I can`t wait to see it.

Just got the game and have started playing it here. I must say, I do enjoy it thus far. However, for some odd reason, the Lizard Pt. 1 mission seems impossible. I've investigated all the trails, and unless there is one I'm not seeing, than this damn thing is impossible.

Harry's suit was ridiculously laughable. What a joke. The corny tag team fighting made me think WWE wrote the script. The movie was good, no doubt but wasn't anything that it was hyped to be. I love the series, too. Spiderman/Venom/Symbiote angle was absolutely amazing. Sandman and Harry ruined it, really.

Another flaw was it was forced. There was way too much cut into the movie. There was so much crap they could've left out, it didn't really flow. They didn't really develop the characters.

All in all, I'm kind of disappointed, I expected a lot more. At times, I felt like I was watching the Power Rangers movie (Harry), a snow boarding show (Harry), yet at times, I felt like I was watching an amazing movie (Spiderman/Venom).7/10

That was kind of deep Mamba. I too wish they would have stuck to the Symbiote angle more, but I guess the writers had to "resolve" Harry's situation with Spiderman thus forcing him into the plot.

Well as far as I know, the Symbiote is the "black suit/entity" in general whereas Venom is a result of how the suit behaves on Eddie Brock's body.

Yea, Venom is the persona that Eddie Brock assumes when he bonds with the symbiote. That's why, when Spiderman had the suit on, he didn't call himself Venom.

Anyways, I plan to watch it tomorrow or the day after. Just reading through the reviews, I kind of guessed that the whole "too many storylines/characters" things would be a problem earlier. I remember watching the review and wondering about how they could fit Sandman, Green Goblin, and Venom into a single movie. The symbiote storyline alone deserves its own movie.

btw, I blame some of this to the fact that they decided to make the Green Goblin the first villain. He's an interesting character, but both he and the Jackal have the most repetitive storylines in the comics. Just a long series of deaths, revivals, clones, and more deaths.

Reportedly, Tobey Maguire was offered $20 million for Spiderman 4. He said he'd do it if Raimi was on board (the director). If they do a Spiderman 4, It should focus on the Lizard (Dr. Conners). That'd be a great storyline. Especially with the teacher/student connection between Conners and Peter.

Stan Lee and Avi Arad want to do a 4,5, and 6. Even if they have to re-cast.

I'll probably see the movie in theater again most likely, without screaming people so I can really pay attention.

Chut, it's a good movie for action and stuff, but Raimi just took in too much. He didn't want to do Venom at first, but there was too much pressure on him to incorporate Venom, so he did.

BTW, The only time I find Kirsten Dunst incredibly attractive is as Mary Jane. "Go Get Em Tiger" sends shivers down my spine!

They're just setting him up for failure by doing that, IMO. Kind of reminds me of all the Batman movies after Batman Returns, where they stuck in two random villains for no apparent reason.

If I did the movies, I would have put either the Lizard or Doc Ock in the 1st movie (to get that teacher-student storyline), the Kingpin in the 2nd movie (maybe with the Black Cat), the symbiotes in the 3rd movie, and I'd do the Green Goblin in the final one.

I can't wait until I see it though. I want to form my own opinion on it.

IMO, the symbiote foes are the most interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing them again in future films.

Thanks for the info guys. I knew about Venom, but I didn't know a thing about Symbiote, so I did an image search and it looked exactly like Venom.

Anyways, I plan on seeing this next Saturday/Sunday
