This is one way to deal with the onslaught of short term memory loss.....remind yourself when you got here! (do I need a green font yet?)

My point was, the forum has been ruined for over 11 1/2 years.....a few years hiatus notwithstanding. ;)

Looks like you picked the wrong hiatus to quit sniffing glue.

I'd attribute that to losing homerloveskoolaid, Schilly, Denny and Boobnomore…..just because you like to start threads my advice is....get in the back of the line rookie! I'll say one thing about maris61....he does not straddle a fence! I respect that. I think you will come around from the Trumpcoma syndrome....you seem like a genuinely nice guy to me..I hope you don't take my heckling too seriously...I'm retired and tend to speechify...I'm here for the comedic relief and of course to insult Trump in his own fashion...fire with fire..

Hey! NOBODY puts ABM in the corner! Plus, Sly starts so many strange-news-of-the-day threads it makes my head spin! Errr...wait! Perhaps that stems from sniffing all that glue.

The back of the line ain't no corner....it's a dusty gravel road leading nowhere

floating in a bathtub isn't exactly rising Lanny but it's good you keep the faith!
That was from a movie starring Richard Dreyfus and Marsha Mason, The Goodbye Girl.

But it isn’t politics as usual when prominent Republicans, like the veteran operatives of the Lincoln Project, marshal support for the Democratic presidential nominee, and once-scorned backers of George W. Bush’s Iraq War like Kristol or David Frum find themselves embraced by the liberal resistance. Something big is happening.

this is the concluding statement in an opinion piece from politico that points out the common ground that both liberals and conservatives have taken in opposition to the president and the extreme positions taken by both sides of todays' political debates.
Harris' argues that the common ground being found today by the middle of both opinions may augur the coming together of our nation in the near future. let us hope that he is correct.

The anti-Trump movement will outlast Trump

Since some on here are creating a thread for each individual act of HATE...... I'll go the other direction.
Now THIS is my city.

absolutely beautiful, spontaneous harmony is what we need.

Good news from around the world is just a click away on a map created by a Portland man

When he launched the free site – Good stories from the pandemic – a few months ago, Mark Lawton considered it nothing more than a hobby. He hoped, at best, he might get 50 or so hits on his page.

But people, he discovered, crave good news. (See more good news stories at oregonlive.com/teamoregon.)

As of Thursday, his map at oneworld-stories.org had received more than 100,000 visitors from nearly every country in the world. He said stories on his map are now linked to 150 countries.
