I hope Congress does. I so want this dude as SOD.

Agreed. Keep that woman as far away from actual power and authority as humanly possible.

......at least, until she decides what newspaper she likes.....

LMAO. Right. I'll remember this the next time I read about Obama using executive privilege to get his way. Lord knows he did that numerous times when it came to gun control.

On an off-note, since we're talking about his Administration, Gen. Patraeus should be nowhere near his cabinet. That man is a disgusting, womanizing traitor to his country.

You can't bitch about Hillary's emails for 2 years, and then hire Patraeus. It doesn't work that way, Trump.

>I want that robe and hat. If worn and seen by Blazer players we can score +130 every time >

Trump made a speech last night to kick off his thank you tour. Quite a bit different than the apology tour of his predecessor.

That said, his speech was a mixed bag, to me. But that's my expectation. I do think we need to fight his horrible policies and encourage his good ones.

The whole wall thing bugs me. The focus on Muslims bugs me. In the same speech that he explicitly and deliberately denounced racists and racism, he went off the rails with that crap.

Trump is like, maybe not perfect in every way. But he's awesome and I love him so. I just wish people would stop criticizing him. It's so mean! He just wants to make American Great Again. And like I said, he's not absolutely perfect. So don't accuse me of supporting him! I will defend him to the death though. Does anyone know where I can get some Trump memorabilia for my bedroom?

FTFY.

Seems like you love the guy. Those are your words, not mine.

Like you promised if Hiliar won, you'd take great joy in the disappointment of the other side, I am enjoying the left wing meltdown because Hiliar lost.

And I'm willing to hold my nose and give Trump a chance before calling for his head. I'd have held my nose and done the same for Hiliar.

And you absolutely should. Nothing wrong with gloating. Your boy won. Say it loud and say it proud!

I think you are taking it quite a bit beyond 'wait and see'.

I'd have held my nose and done the same for Hiliar.

Oh, horseshit you would have. That's possibly the biggest lie ever posted on S2, and there have been many.

that barfologicfail(tm) once again.

YOUR GAL LOST. Gloat, gloat, gloat.

What you think doesn't make sense all the time. Not even to you, I suspect.

If you go back and look, I was supportive of Obama when he was first elected. My reasons haven't changed - if the president succeeds, we all benefit. But it does depend on what "success" means.

I'm no fan of Jeff Sessions, or several of Trump's other picks. I'd rather he keep Lynch or bring back Holder. No fan of the wall. Or barring Muslims from travel here, or spying on mosques (or anyone else for that matter).

I'm just being realistic about what he's doing. He's allowed to pick his own guys. If he doesn't he can use that as an excuse for failure (that's what I said about Obama and his picks, too). Other than his picks, he's shown the kinds of deals he can do with Carrier, which I'm quite happy with.

Like I already wrote, he could pick Mother Teresa and the dimwits on social media would meltdown over it. It's fun to watch.

Mr. Trump has named 16 business leaders to serve on what’s being called the President’s Strategic and Policy Forum, described as a group meant to guide his administration on economic matters.

The list is notable for leaning toward New York executives and industries — finance in particular. The list echoes Mr. Trump’s picks for a number of major economic positions, including Treasury secretary (the former Goldman Sachs partner and hedge fund manager Steven T. Mnuchin) and commerce secretary (the billionaire investor Wilbur L. Ross).

Given his long experience as a New York real estate investor, Mr. Trump’s selections may not come as a surprise.

...

It is a bipartisan list, nonetheless, with a number of members who traditionally have favored Democratic candidates, including Laurence D. Fink of the asset management colossus BlackRock, Mary T. Barra of General Motors and Robert Iger of Walt Disney.

“This forum brings together C.E.O.s and business leaders who know what it takes to create jobs and drive economic growth,” Mr. Trump said in a statement. “My administration is committed to drawing on private sector expertise.”

The group is expected to meet with Mr. Trump monthly. The first meeting will be at the White House in early February. Mr. Schwarzman will serve as chairman.

I'll say this for Trump.....he's going swing at every pitch..see how many he hits out of the park

Time to make America Great Again

Someone hijacked Chris Chilliza's column at the WaPost.

Maybe Donald Trump knows exactly what he’s doing with these Cabinet picks

When Donald Trump was elected president three weeks ago, many Democrats -- and even some Republicans -- openly fretted about whom he would pick to be in his Cabinet. Would he appoint only loyalists who affirmed his views? People with zero experience? People no one had ever heard of?

With the announcement Thursday of Gen. James Mattis as his pick for secretary of defense, Trump continues to demonstrate that those early worries were way off base. In fact, Trump's Cabinet choices -- and some of his potential choices -- reflect a political savviness that many people haven't been willing to grant the president-elect.

Rick Perry heading the Dept of Energy, Tillerson now officially nominated as SOS, and i'm hearing Carly Fiorina as Director of National Intelligence? Sounds like a good post for a failed tech sector CEO.

What are the odds the XL Pipeline will finally (awesome!) get built?
