I agree..... just having fun at the expense of those who were tossing smack at The HCP's when we were on top of the world at 4-2

Theres more than one of you? :MARIS61:

Go fuck yourself. You said we had no chance against Minnesota and Utah so we were RIGHT to throw smack at you. Get outta here and don't come back.

I loved hendo tonight! Breath of fresh air.

What would you like more? CJ starting or as our 6th man?
CJ should continue to start. He is the 3rd best shooting guard in the NBA and a fringe All Star meaning he deserves but won't get it since the field is too crowded.

And like in the movie the Princess Bride....... you might want to google the word "great"....... I don't think it means what you think it means.
There was no google in the Princess Bride. Get lost.

I hear you, but if Hendo can be our starting SG (I'm pretty sure that's his position), then have CJ come off the bench for dame/hendo/crabbe, he could still do just as well.

I am a little afraid of his hero ball... but when he's on...

This is weird...... I've never had The JinxSpeed mad at me before. And only because our opinions differ on the talent level of our team.

His percentages are solid. 46% FG 40% 3PT. He's averaging over 20 a game. Only SGs averaging more are Beal and Harden and Harden's shooting is awful. Hendo did great off the bench tonight. That's where he should be IMO.

Nope. Lots of people on this thread have said they think we will only around 30 games. Do you see me telling all of them to get lost? No. Because they aren't BRAGGING after every loss. I think NateBishop has us winning 32 games. Not mad at him at all.

I can't remember, but I think I said 31. It was just a number... didn't put a whole lot of thought into it. lol.

Hendo looks so smooth. I really am okay with CJ where ever he plays... It seems, though, he has some nights where he passes a ton (I'll have to check, but they have seemed to happen in wins.) and then others where he seems to put his head down and drive. I saw it a few times tonight.

CJ is averaging 25ppg in the 4 wins. He averaging about 17ppg in the 5 losses. Long story short, we need him to SCORE.

I could probably look, but im feeling super lazy... what are his assist total on wins and losses? That's more of what I'd be looking at, IMO.

NateBishop is CRAZY if he thinks we are winning that many! And once again man, I'd love for you to go find my posts that have me "bragging about how bad my team is. Just didn't happen no matter how many times you say It did.

Go look in the prediction thread I started homie. Thats why I did it.

I'm pretty sure HCP also said the kings were better than us.

Actually we are almost dead on with how I predicted out first ten games would go.

I'm going to stick with 28. I got a little too caught up in the euphoria of being 4-2. It's clear this team is not very good. Definitely not a playoff team. If fact they might be in that horrible position of not good enough for the playoffs and not bad enough for a top 5 draft pick. That would suck.

With Stotts coaching I think it's entirely possible that we get a Top 5 pick.

I really love reading threads in here after losses. There are some real level headed people here.

Our first ten games are:

NOP
PHX
PHX
MIN
UTH
MEM
DET
DEN
SAS
MEM

I think in those first ten games we have a really good chance of going 5-5. I think we could beat New Orleans because they're on a second of a back to back and we're an uptempo team. I think we could steal one of the Phoenix games, and I think we've got a really good chance of beating Minnesota, Utah, and Denver. I think we lose to Memphis twice, Detroit, Phoenix, and the Spurs.

The next ten are

CHA
SAS
HOU
LAC
LAL
CHI
LAL
LAC
DAL
IND

I think we've got a good shot at going 4-6 on this stretch. I think we can beat Charlotte, the Lakers, and Indy. Maybe we steal one of the Clipper games, but I'm not holding my breath. So now our record could be 8-12 or 9-11.

Next ten are:

MIN
MIL
CLE
PHX
NYK
NOP
OKC
ORL
MIA
ATL

Looking at this, we might get 3 out of 10. I like our chances against Minny, Phoenix, and the Knicks. The Bucks are another young team, but they've had more time to develop together. I don't think we beat the Thunder, Cleveland, Atlanta, or probably even Orlando. To be on the safe side I'll say 3 wins, which puts us at 11-19 on the season.

Next 10 are -

NOP
CLE
SAC
DEN
UTH
DEN
MEM
LAC
GSW
OKC

This is going to be a rough stretch. Very brutal scheduling. I think we could get wins against Denver at home and Sac. Historically we haven't done well in Denver, so that's probably a loss. We might be able to get one against New Orleans and Sac. I'm going to say 3/10 because I think we might steal a win against one of the contenders, whether it's Memphis, LAC, GS, or OKC. So our record at this point would be 14-26.

Next 10

UTH
BKN
PHI
WAS
ATL
LAL
SAC
CHA
MIN
MIL

This is a good stretch for us. I like our chances in almost all of these games. I think wins against UTH, BKN, PHI, LAL, MIN, and CHA are all possible. I'm going to go with 6/10 but it could easily be 8/10. I'll put our record at 20-30.

Next 10

TOR
HOU
MEM
HOU
GSW
UTH
BKN
HOU
CHI
IND

This is a mixed bag. I'm going to say wins against BKN, TOR, and IND. 23-37 on the season.

Next 10

NYK
BOS
TOR
DET
WAS
GSW
ORL
OKC
SAS
NOP

Wins against NYK, WAS, ORL. Lots of road games. 3-10 on this stretch. Record is 26-44.

Next 10

DAL
DAL
LAC
PHI
SAC
BOS
MIA
GSW
SAC
OKC

I'm going to say we get one of the Dallas games. Philly is a win, as is the SAC and Boston home games. I'm going to say 4/10 on this series. 30-50.

Last two are MIN and DEN. Those are both winnable, however at this point I think we might be tanking. Still, I'll say we go out with two wins to put us at 32-50. So I guess that's my answer.

Final record - 32-50.

We're 6-9 after 15 right now. I thought we'd be around 8-12 or 9-11 after 20 games.

Our next five are:

CHI
LAL
LAC
DAL
IND

I think we could beat the Lakers again, Indy, and possibly Dallas, so I'm going to stick with 8-12 after 20. Right on schedule

Quit being so rational!!! We are winning all of these games. :)

Yeah I predicted 32 and mapped out every game too. We have the exact record I predicted although a couple of the wins and losses got switched. I have us 8-12 too.

But I still see the possibility of some very different outcomes with this team. The 7 game winning streak felt like we were sinking to being one of the worst teams in the league but if you look at it two of those losses were basically flukes and we had a great chance of winning in 3 of the other games. The Spurs game in Portland and Charlotte losses were the only decisive noncompetitive losses. Compare that to the Juan Dixon, Ha Sung Jin Blazers 21 win team that was blown out over half their games.

So with us being competitive could we get hot and make a run towards finishing the year .500? I definitely think its possible. Theres just so much parity in the NBA too, lack of dominant teams. But its also very possible Damian hurts a finger, or someone else gets an injury and we finish around 20 wins.

Yes I agree with this. Its not that HCP predicted 22 wins or whatever; its his condescending attitude that he "knows hoops" and has a more valid prediction than others. Sure there might be a couple posters throwing a stupid idea out of their ass but there are many very knowledgeable hoop fans here with just as valid of rational for their predictions as HCP.

Then HCP will tell us how we need to act as fans and when we should have hopes up or down and when to be level headed. We can decide for ourselves how to root for the team.

I predicted 32 as well and I think that area fairly likely after what I have seen so far barring a big trade or serious injury to a key player

I think it's that unpredictable nature that will put us around that 32 number. We might get hot and win 7 and then go on a long losing streak. I agree though, we could easily be .500 right now.

It will be 28 wins. I have no doubt. The team sucks. Some posters are clueless about that fact though.

And then complains about getting blasted in another thread about this topic...
Its like he is a Star by insider trading or something. Just because he has an inside to the Blazers, doesn't make him any cooler or any more knowledgeable than many others with certain insider contacts or those that may not have inside contacts but study the game relentlessly.
