The goalies study the history of the shooter. I am sure the goalie knew his tendency was where the first shot was going, so he tried to change it up. Plus they are teammates on their normal team so lots of history in PK's between them.By the way. Why didn’t dude just kick the ball into the net line he did the first time?
Seems pretty straight forward. Pretty big net. Hard to miss is what I’m thinking?
They said they weee teammates for many years and probably practiced that many times. Just seemed like a complete breakdown? If the goalie gets to the ball then you have to live with that IMO but you got to at least take a shot that would score at that level. The goalies study the history of the shooter. Well he is not 17 for 21 in his career so he doesn't miss often. I agree though, you have to at least put the shot on goal and giving yourself at least a chance. They said they weee teammates for many years and probably practiced that many times. Again I have no clue about the game though? Maybe that happens a lot? NBA players miss free throws all the time?
as i was saying....i don't like being robbed of brazil-argentina in the semi finals.
FranceFrance Vs Argentina; who wins?
Seems like Argentina will be the “favorites”

sameI don't know who is favored.....but from everybody in my life, ALL of them want to see Messi finally win one. That's where I'm at, Vamos Argentina!
That is the downside of Cinderella stories--eventually the slipper falls off. Brazil and Portugal would likely have generated more compelling semifinal matchups. Should be a good final though, even without a rooting interest.Something about Messi I just can't stand ... I know he's one of the greats in the sport but think it would be hilarious for him to lose in the finals again in his last WC ... but then that would have me cheering for France which I just won't do either. Guess it's back to not caring about soccer for another four years! Seriously though, what a couple of snoozers in the semifinals after a great quarterfinals. Hoping Sunday is fun for all you soccer heads.
Agreed ... why the NCAA tournament is so much fun for the first couple rounds but all it takes is a couple random teams getting into the Elite 8 and all of a sudden you're looking at 30 point blowouts! That is the downside of Cinderella stories--eventually the slipper falls off. If you've watched any of the televised World Cup matches, you'll have glimpsed the new technology being used by the VAR (video assistant referee) to help determine when a player is offside.
Though it usually appears on the TV screen for just a few seconds every match, it's arguably one of the stars of Qatar 2022.
Semi-automated offside technology (SAOT) has taken decades to develop, requires sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) systems, a battery of special cameras, as well as a ball packed with sensors, and about 10 years ago would have seemed impossible.
The computer vision technology it relies on is powering a new generation of data gleaning services, which are changing the way "the world game" and other sports are being coached and played.
