I saw Birdman a few days ago, that was a really different movie. Micheal Keaton did an amazing job and I didn't even realize that was Zach Galafiankis.

I haven't seen any of the other nominated movies, how about you guys, who do you like, who should win?

I haven't seen any of them, and I probably won't ever see Sniper.

Frankly, I don't care much about the Oscars or other awards. Avengers and Star Wars will make a billion dollars, and if some Hollywood mafia wants to say that a movie is their favorite who am I to argue? I'm not seeing the Artist anytime soon.

I'm curious, why won't you see Sniper?

X-men was the only movie I watched last year in the theatres. So that hsould win them all.

I saw Birdman tonight. I liked it a lot.

Quick ratings of the nominated films I have seen:

American Sniper - C
Birdman - A
Grand Budapest Hotel - C
Boyhood - B+
Imitation Game - B-

I know this isn't an original thought but I saw Nightcrawler the other day and don't know why Jake Gyllenhaal isn't nominated.

I liked that movie and thought he was great in it.

Whiplash -- great movie, intense, great performances

American Sniper -- good movie, rah rah USA, not sure about its accuracy

Birdman -- couldn't make it past the first 15 minutes, do not understand the buzz surrounding this weird ass shit!

The Grand Budapest Hotel -- awesome movie, Wes Anderson is a genius, not for everyone

The Imitation Game -- great movie, great story, great performances

Selma -- DID NOT SEE

The Theory of Everything -- good movie, life goes by fast, learned a lot, great performances

Boyhood -- very good/unique movie, good story, good performances all around

WINNER = The Grand Budapest Hotel (and I am sure the real winner will be some other bullshit for "the academy")

Of all those movies, the Grand Budapest Hotel was the only one I saw and I loved it!

The Artist is a great movie. A silent movie about a silent movie star. Very entertainng.

Fuck the grand Budapest hotel...Interstellar should have won best score. Who votes for this shit? I bet it's old assed white dudes with too much money.

94% white, 76% male, average age of 63.

Seems like Michael Keaton sure enjoyed his gum last night. I hope he rewatches himself to see how stupid he looked.
