So while I believe Irving is a superstar next to LBJ.
I don't really believe he is a player which can be relied on to lead a team.

Honestly the Celtics would be better going with Rozier/Smart back court and Irving going to LAL to play with LBJ again.
Granted that won't lead LAL to the finals or even the WCF. But it puts the Celtics in a better position with Hayward/Tatum/Rozier leading the youth movement and Al Horford being the constant vet.

Celtics have too much talent all clustered in 1-2 spots. Tatum, Hayward, Brown, Smart are all fighting for minutes at what should be the '2' or the '3'. They are either forced to play out of position on some nights or don't get the minutes to be able to excel because of the logjam. It's why I believe they played better last year when Hayward and Irving were out with injury. It helped settle the roles better.
