This is a post from Robert Pack! The Pacman!

"Hello Nuggets fans. I played for both the Portland Trail Blazers and the Denver Nuggets in my NBA career. I played in the 1992 NBA Finals and also in the first round upset of the Sonics in 1994. This series could go many different ways but I highly doubt the Nuggets will win a Game 6 in Portland so Nuggets in 6 is a poor prediction. Luckily for the Nuggets, they do not have to win in Portland to win the series and I think that is the tale of this series. Can Portland win in Denver? They didn't this season and they didn't last season so this will be a very interesting series."

Here is a weird conversation. I just shook my head reading this?

-Although, it must be said:

The idea that the Blazers are a blessed franchise continues to be rock's most nonsensical take given that their history is mostly just solidly above-average and nothing more, with some massive injury misfortune littered in.

RESPONSE

-Got a #1 pick when Durant was available
Crazy buzzer beaters, countless lucky wins/breaks/calls
Injuries aren’t much. Every team has them
And considering they are close to going to the wcf in one of their “bad” years is just more proof.
Things always work out for them. One bad thing is followed by multiple good.

Back at it

-One name.......Greg Oden

-So they get insanely lucky in a stacked draft, mess it up and their guy gets hurt and this is supposed to change my mind?

I don’t care if they have a few injuries. Every team does. Including us.

Them getting the top pick with Durant available only makes my point stronger. We’ve never picked first or second and I’ll bet anything we’ve had far more chances to do so.

-And Sam Bowie. #blessed

That was a weird conversation?

- lesser crowd than the last few playoff games. Weather, late start on a Tuesday, and honestly game 1 is not as exciting as game 5 or 7. It wasn't a bad crowd, but more like a good regular season crowd than a playoff crowd.

Dudes didn't even know what day the game was? Sure the crowd probably will be lite tonight.

Ha Ha Ha....

They are literally quoting @SlyPokerDog on the Nugget talk site. Funny Shit.

Refs are literally the reason Portland won.

The refs hate them? They’re the only fucking reason Portland won. Don’t give me bad shooting, don’t give me missed FTs. The refs let Portland get away with taking our best defender out for half the game (surprise that we shut their ass down when he came back, right) and they called a ton of bullshit down the stretch that kept the game out of arms reach.

I don’t give a shit how bad we shot, the refs gave Portland this game. Our best defender had his nose broken no call. 3 on 1 break in the fourth fucking quarter and they call some shit foul on Dame and we don’t get any points off the turnover. I cannot wait for the day when these bum ass referees are jobless and computers decide everything

Avalanche dude has a point. I think Evan got burned on that one.
Evan is right. No one cares about the Nuggets. They're doing well, so people are paying more attention than they normally would, but this is a Broncos town, then the Rockies. The Avs and the Nugs are bottom of the barrel. Sometimes I think the Rapids are more popular.

I have disliked Nuggets fans since we traded for Nurk. They have been an exceptionally salty bunch. They're no Rocket fans, but they're rising up the charts of fans I hate.
I kind of like their team though. Sure Jokic might be kind of annoying but I think this series is so much more about basketball than the last one...

They are a much better team than OKC - I'll give them that. They play basketball. Still, if we had Nurk this would be a sweep.

So you are telling me Mark Price is a bad coach also?

"Is this the fire Mark Price thread?"

"Still wondering why he has a job"

With Denver love for Stotts.

"Hats off to Stotts and the Blazers for the adjustments
They made smart changes from Game 1 and it doesn’t look like we really made any.

We may not have hit our open shots tonight, but they did make it harder and got more turnovers."
