Nate and Papa G, I've grown tired of your endless fighting and insults. I've gotten complaints from others and more importantly it's keeping people from giving me the attention that I crave. Please come up with a day and time where the 3 of us can meet for a beer. I'll buy!

I'm sure if you guys got together and talked things out you'll realize that your both nice guys and that I'm the person you should be arguing with.

Nate's afraid to meet me. Says I'm probably a weirdo. Have your mod stop trolling me in his signature. Two posters acting this way is tiresome enough, but when one of them is a mod, well, you can figure it out. It diminishes the entire forum when a mod is a troll, and sets the tone for the board.

With great power comes great responsibility. I'm just a lowly contributor to a free forum. I don't really need to be harassed by a moderator, do I?

The site is pretty wide-open, in my opinion. Copyright infringement and porn is out, but almost everything else goes.

I don't know what the policies of the board are, but no it has not ALWAYS been like this in practice. (And I'm guessing the owner isn't overly concerned with this given his practices in the OT section.)

This site may be pretty wide-open, but there are many other chat boards where you can post a substantial part of an article or whole article and they will not close the thread. So I guess it's all relative as to what is considered wide open.

We still can curse on this board, which makes it fun for me. Funny though, when thinking about all the posts, I see more articles being posted without links than cursing going on. The public has spoken and we prefer to post and discuss articles than curse. That should reflect well on us as a community . . . I think policies and the current state of the law should be revisted by the powers to be, IMO.

If serious, I think it is a great suggestion.

I think papag brings a lot upon this himself, but I would like to see it stop. If they sit down and have a beer together, I'm guessing it stops. If nothing else an interesting human social experiment . . . with a twist of dog in it. :)

It won't stop. Mr G has to be warring with someone or he isn't happy. Whether it's me, Ed, Zags, or Jlprk. He loves conflict. That won't just go away.

I'm still down for an S2 poker party. If the chat during the game is anything like on this board, should be n entertaining night . . . and imagine the attempted bluffs in that game jsut between papag and Nate . . . "all in" every other hand with a stare down to follow.

Are you guys really that blind? The signature has been gone for an hour or two. Seriously, I have to question the attention to detail of the people who post on this forum.... :sigh:
 
Shouldn't papag buy Sly the beer if he convinces Nate? It's papag's panties are in a wad about the signature, so it only seems right.

I'm a man of principle. Posters baiting other posters is fine with me, but mods doing so seems to diminish the entire forum. Plus, since we're talking about history, the day NateBishop3 was elected a mod I said he'd be terrible at it. It would be like making me a mod and expecting some sense of decorum.

Anyhow, it's over and done with, as far as I'm concerned. Back to the usual game of grins and giggles.
