I think it all depends on the roster-building philosophy...
A solid roster should be setup like a house/home. You need a solid foundation, you need load-bearing beams and walls, you need a sturdy, solid roof, and after that you can fill in the rest however you like.
As far as this draft is concerned, does Olshey want to draft a big, pass-first PG that he can put scorers and playmakers around, or does he want to draft a scoring, play-making PG that he can put role-players around. Just my personal opinion, but if you view Batum and Wes as mid/long-term components of the 'house', their persona (as well as LMA's less-than-killer instinct), Lillard fits better. However I can certainly see the argument for opting for Marshall and putting scorers around him.
